Being a guest at a wedding is such an honour and that is exactly where Kara Milentis and Reece Wood directed their focus for their spring pastel wedding.
The Perth couple made several decisions that made the event more enjoyable for their guests, including location choice and breaking tradition with photos. The ceremony and reception were within walking distance of each other along the Swan River foreshore and there was no wait in between as first look photos had been taken before the ceremony.
Acqua Viva was an obvious choice for the reception on November 28, 2014, where Kara works as a wedding coordinator. “Being a wedding coordinator I already had my dream wedding in mind and knew some of the best suppliers in Perth,” smiles the bride.
Their day was inspired by pastel colours which ranged from the vintage Kombi van through to the stationery and flower arrangements by Touched by Angels and Blossom & Bloom. The consistency of style throughout the day is a credit to the bride’s eye for design.
Worried about keeping kids entertained at your wedding? Kara and Reece have the solution. “Children were given an eye-spy activity with a disposable camera and list of items they needed to photograph,” explains Kara.

The bride looked stunning in her Anna Campbell gown. “I have always loved the romantic and feminine designs,” says Kara.
The bridesmaids were dressed in pretty spring colours by Forever New.
Transport for the day was provided by Old’s Cool Limo Company and Lavish Limousines Perth.
