When planning their modern rustic wedding, Bec and Josh knew straight away that they wanted a small, fun wedding that focused on a great location, good wine and food, and amazing flowers. And that’s exactly what they got.
The Melbourne couple, both aged 30, tied the knot on March 8, 2019, with only immediate family and close friends attending the festivities held at The Riverstone Estate in the Yarra Valley.
“Our wedding was unashamedly us,” says the bride. “It was an amazing day filled with laughter, fun, and a hell of a lot of love! We stayed true to things that are important to us and will forever treasure our memories and photos.”
One of Bec’s main priorities was to include native flowers — something the team from Thrive Flowers & Events was all too happy to accommodate.
“I love flowers and after selecting Riverstone as our venue, I knew I wanted a lush arbour. Thrive created the most amazing arbour for us — part of me wished that we hadn’t gone away on our honeymoon so soon after the wedding so I could have filled our place with flowers! Thrive did an amazing job.”

Native Australian flora perfectly complemented the rustic theme.
Although it started to rain just as Bec began walking down the aisle, none of it mattered once she laid eyes on her groom.
“Dancing under the stars with our closest friends around us on the beautiful Riverstone deck was the perfect end to an amazing ceremony and reception,” says Bec.
