This modern day Brady Bunch have quite the love story…
Amanda, 39, and Dave, 45, met at work about 15 years ago. But Dave was married with two kids, so they were just friends. They fell out of contact and 10 years later reconnected on LinkedIn. “He was divorced and I had been married, had a child and had recently separated,” explains Amanda. “And I was four months pregnant.”
The pair fell in love and Dave was there for the birth of Amanda’s son – in the front seat of the car! “We were together about four years when he proposed on our boat on the Murray River in Echuca. It was perfect, our annual family holiday,” smiles the bride.
They married at their rustic winery wedding on the Mornington Peninsula, where Dave’s sons (18 and 20) were best men, Amanda’s daughter was junior bridesmaid and her son the ring bearer. “We had planned a winery wedding with reception in the Pig and Whistle pub,” says the bride. “On the day, shocking Melbourne weather, we ended up with the ceremony in the pub as well. But it was perfect.”

The Pig and Whistle pub provided the perfect shelter on the rainy day.
“Having both been married before, we were relaxed with our wedding,” recalls Amanda.
