It takes a tribe to create the perfect personalised wedding, just ask Angela and Andy.
The Sydney pair made the most of help from friends and family for their tropical luxe wedding on the NSW South Coast.
“Our tribe spent the days leading up working together to pull together an incredible day,” Angela says.
“Nothing was cookie cutter or standard and everything reflected special elements about our relationship.”
The couple wed at St Mary’s Star of the Sea in Gerringong in front of 115 friends and family on March 30, 2019.
The beautiful reception was held at nearby Seacliff House, where the brief was to keep things simple but elegant.
“We wanted the day to be personalised and very ‘us’ so the barn at Seacliff provided a blank canvas for us to bring in EVERYTHING from the tables, to the decorations, to the cutlery,” Angela says.
“We settled on the theme tropical luxe, which integrated the vibe that our holidays are often based on – beachside with a delicious cocktail. It was the most incredible night.”

Angela discovered her gown at Luv Bridal & Formal. “This boutique was amazing at finding my dream gown,” she says.
After six years together, Andy suggested a boxing session at the beach. “It was just a standard Tuesday afternoon,” Angela recalls. “While Andy was strapping my hands into the gloves, he slipped the ring box into the glove. I pulled out the box with initial confusion, then surprise, then elation. YES!”
Angela and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up done by Amanda La Monica. “Amanda was great and so calm on the day,” the bride says.
“It was actually really fun to spend the few days leading up with our bridal party and families setting everything up,” Angela says of the tropical luxe wedding.
