Damien and Luke’s lavish luxury wedding wasn’t just about the walk down the aisle, it was the event of the century.
Their vision was to create a white luxe country wonderland, and it was a dream so big that Luke decided to take it on himself.
“Our concept, design and vision was epic – never done in Australia in three pieces let alone in one event,” he says.
The March 23, 2019 wedding was styled to perfection, with the couple’s 330 guests treated to an experience like no other.
The couple spent a year transforming the grounds at Palmyra B&B near Forster, NSW, including adding a lake, grand staircase and thousands of plants.
The couple describe their extravagant celebration as a “wedfestival” that stretched over four days.
“We had a massive meet and greet dinner, resort-like glamping accommodation, a magnificent ceremony, a relaxed first reception by the lake, an opulent formal marquee reception, lavish seated brunch and absolute fun at the buzz fun park to finish it off,” Luke recalls.
“Our guests experience was key and we covered everything perfectly so they remember it for life.”

Damien and Luke were in the same circle of friends for two years before fate brought them together. “We tackled an eight-week Europe trip to see if we could kill each other, but we came back even stronger,” Luke says with a laugh.
A whole team of musicians, including Brown Sugar Music and Limited Edition Band added to the atmosphere at the four-day celebration.
The couple’s proposal was almost as lavish as their luxury wedding. “We got a seaplane to a beautiful hatted restaurant for a three-course meal followed by a walk out on the jetty. Here I got on one knee and asked Damien to marry me,” Luke recalls.
“The wedding was everything we hoped for and wanted – it lived up to its name – white luxe country wonderland wedding event,” the couple says.
Now a part-time wedding planner himself, Luke’s LUK Design and Events was instrumental in bringing the luxury wedding to life. White Label Hire also helped add a luxe touch.
“We styled and planned the marquee – we wanted white, flowers in abundance, lavish floors and ceilings and something masculine being the custom pops of black décor and opulent table settings,” Luke says. “We then wanted a grand ceremony – a nice walkway to experience but it had to lead to something luxe. We love the Swarovski bling we had added in the marquee and outfits, so we designed bespoke pieces in the ceremony too which linked the whole visual of the wedding.”
“We planned a wedding like no other – it was two days, then became three days and ended up being four days – we had every guest experience the full circle of love, laughter, enjoyment and to make memories for life,” the couple says.
