Ben Mohan was lucky enough to catch on camera the look of excitement when he proposed to bride-to-be Amy Gawthorne.
Ben, 25, perfectly timed his proposal to Amy, 26, with the snap of a photobooth after celebrating their two-year anniversary in Sydney.
Ben had quickly taken on the father role of Amy’s 12-week-old son when the pair reconnected about four years ago and the couple welcomed a baby girl six weeks out from their classic wedding.
The NSW Central Coast couple wed at Magenta Shores Resort near Terrigal on the Central Coast on February 28, 2015 in front of 98 friends and family.
The ceremony was held on the lawn overlooking a stunning pond. The reception followed at the resort where guests were treated to fine food and plenty of fun.
“There was so much love in the air. Every one commented that it was the best wedding that they had been to,” Amy says.

Amy based her whole colour scheme around the shade of the blue and purple Singapore orchids that feature in her bouquet. “Our flowers were exactly what I pictured,” she says.
Amy’s Brides to Be gown wasn’t the style she expected to wear. “I originally only tried the dress on as I felt bad that I didn’t like the look of any of the dresses. But that all changed when I put on my gown!” she says.
Naked Art Design provided the bright bridesmaids’ dresses that perfectly matched the blue and purple theme.
Instead of a traditional cake, the couple opted for cute tiered cupcakes with a single tier on top.
After a proposal in a photobooth, it was only fitting the couple had one at their wedding! “This made the night; everyone had so much fun dressing up and posing,” Amy says.
