Known as simple and relaxed people, Amy and James set out to prove less is more when it came to their elegant wedding.
The couple wed at a wedding absolutely oozing elegance. The afternoon started with a boat ride and an acoustic guitarist, followed by a love-filled ceremony overlooking Peppermint Bay in Hobart.
Celebrations then continued at Peppermint Bay Hotel, where a six-piece band, The White Tree, got guests on their feet and dancing all night long. Instead of traditional alternate drop catering, guests were treated to a feast of share plates and encouraged to mingle and share with one another. Additionally, in place of dessert the couple had an ice-cream bar, and hot chips served later in the evening as ‘dance refuel’ food.
“Our wedding was relaxed, elegant and filled with fun vibes,” says the bride. “Everything was super simple, but looked incredible.”

To complement the elegant theme, Amy and James incorporated a white and pink colour palette. The bridesmaids looked incredible in white!
Amy’s gown oozed elegance. “Simplicity was what I was after for my dress,” she says.
Beautiful Flowers Gifts and Garden created the couple’s simple yet beautiful ‘floating arbour’.
Amy and James were originally set up by good friends and soon discovered conversation flowed freely between them. Being in each other’s company felt natural and easy.
The couple’s beloved lab, Barney, attended the festivities.
