On March 24, 2024, Amelia and Michael hosted their destination wedding at Bali Beach Glamping, surrounded by eighty of their closest friends and family.
On March 24, 2024, Amelia and Michael celebrated their union at Bali Beach Glamping, surrounded by eighty guests in a picturesque beach setting. “We had the ceremony on the lawn with the beach right behind us—it was beautiful,” remembers Amelia.
After the ceremony, the celebration moved to the pool area for cocktails. “We had cocktail tables around the pool, and the team at the venue did a fantastic job switching things up from the ceremony setup to prepare for the evening,” Amelia explained. The reception continued on the same lawn, now transformed under a canopy of fairy lights with the dining area set for a seated meal.
“The food was about having fun and keeping everyone on the dance floor,” Amelia noted. The evening featured a variety of food stations, including a live Quesadilla station and a selection of canapés. Dinner was served family-style, including slow-cooked lamb and salmon. Dessert was catered by a gelato station alongside their wedding cake.
DJ Sammy Sax provided the music for the night. “He kept the party going all night long. I couldn’t recommend him more,” said Amelia. The wedding was just a part of a week-long celebration that started with welcome drinks at Potato Head Bali and included separate hen and stag events. “We had massages, spa days, pool days, and lots of dancing,” said Amelia. The day after the wedding, the couple hosted a recovery day with breakfast by the beach, followed by a pool day and a pizza night with a bonfire.
The highlight for many was a surprise fireworks display during their first dance. “It was a big secret. We had our first dance, DJ Sammy played the sax, and then boom—a huge firework show from the beachfront. It’s hard to arrange something like that in Australia, so if you’re having an overseas wedding, I highly recommend it,” Amelia enthused.
Reflecting on the entire experience, Amelia wouldn’t change a thing. “It was absolutely perfect in my eyes,” she shared.
