Amanda and Steven embrace the great outdoors at classic garden wedding

Perth pair Amanda and Steven headed outdoors for their classic garden wedding.

“I really just wanted a fun, relaxed cocktail style wedding, outside and near the river,” Amanda, 29, says.

“Matilda Bay Reserve was the perfect location, and luckily for us, provided the prefect weather. The ceremony set-up and flowers was all provided through Matilda Bay Restaurant and was perfect.”

The ceremony, in front of 100 guests, was held on March 3, 2018. Amanda and Steven, 34, ensured there wasn’t a boring break in the celebrations before the reception at Matilda Bay Restaurant’s Catalina Room.

“We really wanted our guests to have a great time, from having the reception next to the ceremony venue, to pre-drinks, live music and giant lawn games between the ceremony and reception to avoid a long wait,” the bride says.

“We provided a tub of thongs for the girls to change into if needed – most ladies where in thongs by the middle of the night!”

The couple describes their classic garden wedding as perfect.

“Honestly, I don’t think I would change a thing. I had a great time planning, and a great day,” Amanda says.

Amanda is full of praise for the team at Luv Bridal for helping her find the perfect dress. “The girls at Luv Bridal are so friendly, helpful and don’t put any pressure on,” she says.

The outdoor ceremony was a dream come true for the Perth couple, who were officially wed by Adie from Ceremonies by Adie. “Adie made our ceremony so special and so personal. She is relaxed, down to earth and made the ceremony all about us, with personal touches throughout,” Amanda says.

“We met when Steve was working at a pub, and I was a bit of a regular. We dated for four years before buying a home together and now live with our fur children. Steve proposed on a holiday to Bali,” Amanda says.

Joe Boshell provided acoustic and DJ entertainment to get the dance floor going. “He was able to take in last-minute first dance requests and was great all night,” Amanda says.
