It wasn’t long into wedding planning that Amanda and Kane realised a traditional celebration wasn’t for them.
“As we looked at more and more options, we started to realise that nothing really spoke of us and what we wanted to create for any possible future generations. We wanted to create timeless images to be shared,” Amanda, 29, explains.
“As we had already had a trip to Canada and the USA booked it started to just become obvious that we should elope.”
After many hours of research, Amanda and Kane, 32, planned for their rustic Vancouver wedding to be full of adventure and the great outdoors.
The bride credits sister duo Victoria (photographer) and Amanda (florist), from The Wildhearts Collective, for making their dreams reality.
“Vic literally planned and booked everything,” Amanda says. “We wanted rustic, vintage, nature and adventure and that exactly what we got.”
The day began with a magical first look before the ceremony in the warehouse-style Ellis Building in Vancouver.
“This was followed by a journey to the helicopter hangar where we boarded our helicopters and flew to the top of the incredible snow-capped mountains of Vancouver. The day ended with a private reception at The Emerald Supper Club that The Wildhearts had organised,” Amanda says.
“It truly was the most incredible day ever.”
