Bride Amanda, 31, had a list of 24 venues with prices and inclusions for her rustic farm wedding.
“I went to a number of venues down the NSW South Coast, as that is where we are from. But was hard to convince David,” she says of her 30-year-old fiance. “After searching on Google I came across River View Island and liked the look of it. My brother was up that way so I sent him to check it out and he loved it.”
It was a nervous wait until the couple could see it for themselves. “David and I headed up there in the school holidays and I was relieved when he also fell in love with the place,” recalls Amanda.
The couple put a lot of trust in their suppliers, having booked many without meeting face-to-face. “All the suppliers were local and hand-picked by the vendors. We met most of them a couple of months prior,” recalls the bride. “We met our photographer Mel the day before and we hit it off immediately.”

“I left all the floral arrangements up to our florist only giving her colour choices and they were amazing,” says Amanda.
“We do not shy away from adventures; sky diving, helicopter rides, quad biking, cliff side picnics and hot air ballooning,” Amanda says of the pair.
“Unfortunately David did not get the chance to get to know my dad Dave very well, but he got to meet him and immediately Dave gave his blessing with ‘he has a great name’,” explains Amanda.
“I have been asked a number of times number, if I could do it all over would I change a thing and I can honestly say no. Everything was perfect,” smiles the bride.
