When Bachelor in Paradise pair Alisha and Glenn decided to tie the knot, the tranquillity of Denmark’s Parry Beach Breaks provided the perfect location.
“We couldn’t have asked for a smoother, more fun wedding day,” reminisces Alisha. “I think that was a testament to our bridal parties, our family, our fabulous vendors and the staff at Parry Beach Breaks.”
Alisha and Glenn initially stumbled upon their ideal wedding venue on a weekend trip to the beautiful coastal town of Denmark. “We hadn’t really even spoken about marriage but started to joke about it through our weekend away,” says Alisha. “During the car ride home, Glenn turned to me and said, ‘I could really picture us getting married there.’ The rest was history. Once he proposed, it wasn’t even really a question that we’d get married at Parry Beach Breaks.”
While sparks flew between Alisha and Glenn on Bachelor in Paradise, their romance really blossomed during the turbulent time of lockdowns and quarantine. “We spent time cooking, hanging out at home, and exploring our local neighbourhood going for our daily walks along the South Perth foreshore — basically all you could get up to!” laughs Alisha. When it came time for Glenn to propose, he chose the South Perth foreshore as a throwback to those initial walks early on in the relationship.
“We just wanted the day to be fun, to reflect us as a couple and be a big party with all our loved ones,” says Alisha of the celebration. “A ritual to celebrate our love with all of the most important people in our lives.”
On April 22, 2023, after a relaxing morning of preparation with their respective wedding parties, Alisha and Glenn wed in the presence of 120 guests. While their guests mingled enjoying canapes and margaritas (the couple’s favourite cocktail), photographer Sarah Tonkin took the chance to capture some beachside golden hour photos.
The reception feast included Margaret River beef, Tuscan-style chicken, and Cone Bay barramundi. Over dinner and many a toast, the speeches brought warm laughs to the crowd. As the night progressed, the dancefloor opened with Alisha and Glenn taking a romantic first spin as man and wife. “We would not change anything about our wedding — the day was absolutely perfect,” the happy couple told Easy Weddings.
Discover your perfect wedding venueIf we could reccommend just one of our vendors, it would have to be Parry Beach Breaks! The venue just made our day. I feel like even our vendors were floored by it’s beauty and it made it such a special experience that will remain with us forever.

My favourite part of the ceremony were readings from our mums. Not long into our relationship Glenn and I realised that both our mums had put up motivational poems on the walls on our bathrooms in poster form. The one at my house was a poem called Desiderata and the one at his (which is still there to this day) is called I Am Me – a poem about self-esteem. They read these poems at the ceremony with the view to guide us into the future, mirroring the intent behind why I think they put them up in the first place.

We used Passion Pop to pour the champagne tower in tribute to our friend CJ who passed away four weeks before we got married. It was very hard losing such a close, beautiful friend so close to our wedding. He was with me at my hen’s in Sydney just months before and many of our friends invited to the wedding were still very acutely grieving his loss. He would have loved the idea of doing a champagne tower with Passion Pop and it really did make us feel like he was there with us.
