Kelly Fletcher hit the right note with her beau Glen Middlecoat when the pair first bonded over their mutual love of music.
They discovered their shared passion while at high school and married at their elegant wedding on September 29, 2013 in Perth.
“As our love had stemmed from playing music together, we wanted this theme to carry out through our wedding,” explains Kelly, 26. “With Glen [26] playing guitar and myself on the piano, the first song we played together was “November Rain” by Guns n Roses which was the song I walked down the aisle to.”
Kelly describes their wedding as glitzy and unique, with elegant touches everywhere guests turned. “Our wedding definitely epitomised our bold personalities,” she says. “Our 120 guests joined us at Caversham House for a beautiful garden ceremony, which we decorated with hedges, bows, and giant LOVE letters which would be the focal point for many (amusing) photographs!”
Kelly and Glen were treated to a surprise at their Crown Perth reception when their nieces and nephews performed an impromptu dance before dinner. Too cute!
“My dress was slightly pewter coloured which we then complemented with charcoal bridesmaid dresses,” says Kelly.
Kelly’s long dark tresses were styled by Belinda Luca Wedding Hair Specialist.
“Both of our (musical) styles are contemporary and very modern which the theme of our wedding was based on,” describes Kelly.
Kelly’s advice for other brides is to relax. “Don’t sweat the small stuff; at the end of the day the most important thing is marrying your love.”
