Try to count how many times this bride and groom changed outfits on their wedding day and you may run out of fingers.
But Cassandra Langdon and Andrew MacGillivray were quite the crafty fashionistas, with Andrew keeping guests guessing with subtle changes, and the bride swapping in and out of her gorgeous wedding dress for covert and comfort reasons. “I wore a Zimmerman dress for my walk to the venue to avoid anyone catching a glimpse of my gown, then changed back into it for our first dance and again at the informal end of the evening,” explains Cassandra, 30. Her 34-year-old groom had four outfit changes, mixing it up with different coloured jackets and even a kilt!
Their French wedding on March 13, 2016 was inspired by the Champagne region of France. “We took great inspiration from the romance of the city and the beauty of the vineyards,” says the bride. “We spoiled our guests with an amazing custom French menu, open bar and cocktails, fine wines, and of course French champagne.”
The ceremony and reception both took place at Aerial located in Melbourne’s South Wharf with 120 guests – which included their fur baby, Bonnie Mac. “We knew we would have a local wedding so that she could take part in the ceremony,” smiles Cassandra.

Oscar Hunt suited up the groom and his crew in black tie, Andrew a standout in an elegant white dinner jacket.
Verve Entertainment Agency provided acoustic singer Tanya George to perform during the couple’s ceremony, and a DJ for later in the night.
Fur baby Bonnie Mac was a big part of the couple’s special day, she even helped Andrew to propose!
“We had a massive dessert as well as a cheese buffet so we had our wedding cake sliced and put in boxes with our names and the date on them as take-aways for our guests,” says Cassandra.
Rentertainment provided a roaming photographer who printed customised photo magnets for guests on the spot.
