Easy Weddings guide: How to optimise your storefront
The wedding industry is competitive. Being a supplier these days isn’t enough; it’s a saturated industry, and you need to stand out. Whether you’re a florist, photographer, or run a venue, you need to optimise your storefront. This can mean the difference between getting noticed or overlooked.
With 80% of Australian couples using Easy Weddings as part of their planning process, your listing is often the first impression they’ll have of your brand. There are a few things that you can do to make your storefront stand out from the crowd.
We’ve put together some of our top tips to optimise your storefront:
1. High-quality visuals
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the right images could be worth countless bookings on your listing. Weddings are deeply visual experiences; your photos are your chance to shine. From showcasing your unique talents and expertise to highlighting your in-depth understanding of the wedding world, high-quality images are the first step to capturing the attention of newly engaged couples.
Top tips for image selection:
- High-resolution and professional quality (try to avoid blurry or obvious phone images).
- Up-to-date, with your most recent work that shows you understand trends.
- Include a mix of action shots, venue setups, and close-ups.
- Showcase a variety of work; for venues this might mean a small and large wedding set-up, makeup artists might showcase different styles, and photographers could boast a plethora of aesthetics. Don’t limit yourself to just one or two.

2. Craft a compelling business description
This is your chance to tell a bit of your story and also let the couples know what your unique selling point is. Your bio should be clear but also warm, it’s okay to inject a bit of your own personality into it. Make sure you detail your services and choose certain parts of your business to highlight; perhaps it’s your chefs, your years of experience or how many weddings you’ve previously done.
Some hints to nailing your business description:
- Warm, friendly, engaging and clear – your bio should reflect your personality and brand.
- Highlight something that makes you unique (e.g. award-winning or your specialisation).
- Use bullet points and headings; they make the information easier to scan.
3. Reviews and testimonials
Optimise your storefront by having social proof. A high-rated storefront is proven to be a way to secure bookings. The more reviews, the more social proof you have and the more authentic you seem.
- Encourage past clients to leave detailed reviews; we’ve explored tips to help you get more reviews.
- Respond to the reviews! It shows engagement and professionalism.
4. Optimise your pricing and packages
Include the details of your different packages on your listing. The ‘Packages’ section allows you to list several different packages and their inclusions. Use this section to give couples options in the research and planning phase.
- Clearly list your starting prices as it sets expectations.
- Offer tiered packages that cater to different budgets.
- Provide a customisation option for flexibility.
5. Location, location
Your store listing will include your location, but you should also include where else you would be willing to travel. If you offer a mobile service, such as hair and makeup or photography, you should list all areas where you operate.
6. Downloadable brochures and assets
If you have even more information and imagery in a brochure, ensure it is uploaded to your storefront. Couples deep in the planning phase will spend their time and take in as much information as possible. The more you can provide them, the more likely they will contact you.
7. Leverage special offers and discounts
Include a small discount for couples who found you through the Easy Weddings platform. This information on your storefront will give the impression of exclusivity to couples who might be deciding between you and another business. A small discount can go a long way.
Other hints for special offers include:
- Providing limited-time offers, creating a sense of urgency.
- Bundling services (videography with photography) for a better value proposition.
- Offer referral discounts through Easy Weddings or recommend them through other partner businesses; this can attract more couples.
- Keep your offers up to date, ensure they’re seasonal and continue to align with your business goals – they should be changed at a minimum annually (but it’s recommended to change the offers quarterly).
8. Make your listing mobile–friendly
Many couples use their computers to plan their weddings, but some start their research using their phones. With this in mind, you want to ensure that your selected images pop not just on desktops and laptops but also on mobile devices.
To make sure you have optimised your storefront for mobile as well, check it first! After you’ve finished uploading all of your information, make sure you test it all on your mobile and see that all the most important information is at the top of the listing, with the images standing out.
9. Regularly update your listing
Storefront listings are not a set-and-forget model. They require attention and updates. The average engagement time has doubled in the last few years, meaning engaged couples will spend much longer in the planning process. Regularly changing your hero image or updating the content on the listing will give you a fresh look on the site when people are browsing.
When updating your listing, consider:
- Update photos, testimonials, and pricing.
- Share seasonal trends or recent work.
- Ensuring your contact information is the same.
10. FAQs
For couples planning their first wedding, they will have a lot of questions. Easy Weddings listings have an FAQ section, allowing you to answer some of the most common and burning questions. This will allow you to showcase your knowledge and streamline future communication as the nuts and bolts have already been taken care of.
