Why reviews matter for wedding businesses
A wedding is a one-time purchase (we hope!), so couples only have one shot at booking the suppliers who will make their dream wedding come to life. Before couples make that significant investment, the savvy ones turn to online reviews to check out their favourite suppliers. That’s why having a lot of solid reviews for your business will help motivate couples to enquire.
Reviews dramatically improve your storefront’s ability to generate enquiries:

To encourage suppliers to achieve more reviews, Easy Weddings awards our top-reviewed wedding suppliers with 5-Star Supplier certificates each year. The recognition is a way for us to validate our top suppliers’ dedication to customer service and helping couples plan their perfect wedding.
Are you eligible for our 5-Star Supplier awards this year?
If you’re a supplier with a listing on Easy Weddings, you could be eligible for our annual 5-Star Supplier Awards. Recipients receive a digital certificate to print out and display at their place of business, a digital Easy Weddings 5-Star Supplier badge to add to your storefront and website, plus a suite of digital assets to share on social media.
These digital bragging rights help our top-rated wedding vendors show couples that they rank among one of the industry’s best.
To qualify for your digital certificate and Easy Weddings 5-Star Supplier badge this year, you will need to:
- Receive five or more reviews for the past financial year with an overall rating of 4.5 stars or higher (for suppliers online with on Easy Weddings for more than 12 months); or
- Receive one or more reviews with an average rating of 4.5 or higher (newer suppliers online with Easy Weddings for less than 12 months).
If you have yet to achieve five 5-star reviews this financial year, there’s still plenty of time to reach out to your couples and ask them to leave a review on your Easy Weddings storefront. The deadline is June 30.
Remember: Asking for a review once will generally get a response from 1 in 5 couples, but asking twice will up your response rate to 1 in 3.

When couples leave you a review on Easy Weddings, it makes you look impressive to future couples and earns them five tickets into our $2,500 Wedding Cash Giveaway draw!
We give away the prize every three months (the draw closes on January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31 each year). Sending your couples a reminder about the competition deadline is a great excuse to ask them to review you!
How to ask for reviews: Template
To help you ask your couples to leave a review on Easy Weddings, below is a template you can customise. Inserting your unique review link will direct couples straight to your Easy Weddings storefront, where they can leave a review. This can be found in the Reviews tab of your WedCRM, as shown below.

We were thrilled to be part of your wedding day and would love it if you could take a few minutes to leave a review on our Easy Weddings profile. This makes us stand out from the crowd and gives us credibility when other couples read about how we helped bring your dream day to life.
As a bonus, each review you leave on Easy Weddings enters you into the draw to win a $2,500 cash prize! The draw closes on April 30, so leave your review before then for a chance at the prize. Good luck!

Can I display my reviews on my own website?
You sure can! Tell potential customers you’re a top-rated Easy Weddings supplier by adding a Reviews Widget to your website. Once installed, the widget duplicates your Easy Weddings reviews on your website.
To install our Reviews Widget, click on the Website Resources tab on the left-hand side tab of your WedCRM. There are a few customisation options to choose from.
Once you decide how you’d like your Review Widget to appear on your website, click the “Step 2. Copy & Paste Code” button. Simply copy the HTML code or Javascript tag and paste it into your website.
