“What an amazing time it was catching up with everyone!” said Gabriel Levi, of Go Gabs DJs, after our Perth wedding industry event. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

After over two years of (not so patiently) waiting to see our wonderful network of wedding suppliers face to face, we have just wrapped up our wedding industry event series for 2022. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the reception at each of the four cities we visited.

A handful of our Easy Weddings team had the privilege of flying across the country to host our Wedding Industry Events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth over the past few months. It was so lovely to network, educate, and learn with our wedding pros in real life once again.

As well as meeting some of Australia’s most successful wedding suppliers, hundreds of wedding vendors walked away with insights about the up-and-coming wedding trends of 2022-23 from our Annual Wedding Industry Report, and discovered the essentials in the digital marketing landscape.

Aside from the networking opportunity, each event featured two presentations by Easy Weddings’ own subject matter experts:

Our wedding trends and insights presentation revealed that the number 1 wedding trend for 2022 was Romantic. Our sales and marketing team shared tips on utilising these wedding style trends in your brand strategy to appeal to more couples. We also covered some of these in our recent Storefronts that Stand Out webinar, which you can watch here.

And our Digital Marketing Specialist, Dan Wild, also provided a crash course on digital marketing by sharing some SEO tips and social media tricks. He explained the critical role digital and social media marketing plays to continue couples on their information-gathering journey after they have come across a supplier’s Easy Weddings storefront.

Our 2022 Wedding Industry Events at a glance

We kicked things off in May by hosting our very first event close to Easy Weddings HQ, here in Melbourne. We united the city’s wedding industry peeps who were thrilled to come together once again, now that weddings are back, baby!

We packed the room of Zinc at Fed Square to celebrate, reacquaint ourselves and make new connections after the past two years. Wedding vendors were treated to an afternoon of mingling, learning, and immersion into all things weddings!

If you were among the crowd, you might have chatted with our new communications manager, Mel (her purple hair is hard to miss!) who was excited to meet our network of wedding suppliers in her first week on the job.

Next, we jumped on a plane to meet our Sydney wedding suppliers in June, at the swish Establishment Ballroom by Merivale. What a day it was! The energy was electric, there were lots of laughs… and the grazing platter was to die for!

In July, we literally rolled out the red carpet to provide our Queensland wedding vendors with the VIP treatment thanks to Surreal Living Artistry.

The drinks were flowing while our wedding pros took in the stunning views of the Brisbane River and the city skyline, thanks to our venue partners Waters Edge Weddings and Events, Portside.

Finally, in September we rounded out our event series at the Pan Pacific Perth. The Golden Ballroom was packed with wedding vendors who travelled across WA, some as far south as Margaret River.

Attendees described our events as insightful, and our presenters knowledgeable, passionate – even “sassy”. Many told us they left inspired, with a bunch of ideas to level up their sales and marketing strategies.

“Dan was fantastic! There was so much I learnt about digital marketing and so many insights into the wedding industry. I could hear Dan’s presentation for hours and not get bored.”

“Both Darcy and Chelsea were fabulous! Loved the way they connected with the audience and made the presentation so engaging with a touch of humour.”

Cheers to our event sponsors and hundreds who attended

A huge THANK YOU to the hundreds of suppliers who attended our four events this year and providing the Easy Weddings team such a warm welcome! Thank you for sticking with Easy Weddings over the past trialling two years or for jumping on board if you’re new to the fam. Above all, thank you for trusting us as a partner in your business – we are beyond grateful.

A big thanks to our amazing sponsors without whom these events would not have been possible. And of course, a shout out to the Easy Weddings team who managed to create such a fabulous series of events for our wedding industry suppliers.

If you missed out, or if we didn’t get to your town this time, we’ll hopefully see you next year. Until then, please look out for our online webinars and industry education resources, including our 2023 Wedding Industry Report later this year.
