Parramatta Park (Old Government House and Domain) is one of the 11 historic places that together form the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage property.
There’s evidence of 20,000 years of Aboriginal occupation and land use and it was a Vice-Regal domain from 1788. It became a public park in 1858 – one of the earliest in the world.
There are many wedding ceremony locations to choose from, including The Bathhouse, Rumsey Rose Garden and a choice of many lawns.
The rose garden comprises rose arbours and beds around a central lawn and paved paths. Suitable for wedding ceremonies, photography, cocktail parties and small gatherings. The best flowering display is in Oct-Nov and May.
