Developed as a native botanic gardens hosting collections of native plants, the George Pentland Botanic Gardens offers the perfect location for a garden wedding. With undulating open grass space and garden beds, this pleasant environment caters for all types of events. The gardens are free of charge, although bookings are required through the council.

The lake is the gardens’ centre piece. Ceremonies take place on the expansive lawn areas by the lake or among the shady gum trees. The Fern  Gully includes bridges, pathways, and bench seats under a canopy of ferns, and offers great photo opportunities and a more intimate location.
