The inspiration
Kristine’s journey to founding The Modern Brides BFF was always in the making, but it was redundancy that finally pushed her to go all in. In 2023, she invested her time and energy into building the business. 60 weddings later, it’s become a popular service for modern couples.
“I was inspired to start my own business because I’ve always felt the need to create something for a higher purpose besides my 9-to-5 job,” Kristine tells us.
Her entrepreneurial spirit, a love for capturing candid moments, and current social media trends are the foundations of The Modern Brides BFF.
‘Remember the camcorder days and flip phones in the early 2000s?’ she says. ‘One night, my partner and I were discussing what our wedding would look like, and I just thought: Wouldn’t it be nice to have wedding photos and videos taken from a more intimate perspective? But how do I do that without putting pressure on my family or friends?’

Kristine leaves us with these pearls of wisdom: “Always remember the main reason you’re getting married,” Kristine says. The only thing you can control on your wedding day is how you feel. Your floral arrangement might not be placed as you wanted or the weather might not be perfect. But remember: you’re marrying the love of your life, and that’s the only thing that should matter.”
