Kauai and Dylan
Captured by Ben Clark Photography, Kauai and Dylan wed at their Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove wedding among 180 family and friends.
“We chose to get married at Sanctuary Cove as my grandparents live there and it’s always been a favourite holiday spot, so it holds a very special place in our hearts,” Kauai says.
The party then kicked on into the night with help from Radio Club Band.
“We’ll always remeber it as one of the most amazing days of our lives,” Kauai says.
Dylan and his groomsmen looked incredibly dapper in their crisp tuxedos and bow ties by Black Jacket Suiting.
Kauai and Dylan purchased their wedding rings from Diamonds International, and had their invitations made by Urban Weddings.
Wade and Mohammad
Captured by Mikey Andersson Photography, Wade and Mohammad didn’t hold back when it came to creating their fashion luxe wedding of their dreams, wearing Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, Dsquared2 and Fendi. And shutting down the Palazzo Versace Hotel in the Gold Coast for the event was just the beginning!
“We wanted exclusivity, privacy, and yet a spectacle all at the same time – not to be difficult of course,” laughs Wade. “For the first time, we were able to get permission to close down Versace beach and block it from the public, having free range to do as we wished.”
The upcoming marriage equality plesicite in Australia wasn’t a reality when Wade and Mohammad started planning their civil ceremony. “Australia had just passed the vote to have a plebiscite and, to our horror, the activists blocked it from happening. Well for us, that was enough of our lives wasted to say ‘I do’, so we chose to have the civil partnership instead.”
With the help of “our modern Cinderella” as the pair call her, Decinda from Sugar and Spice events brought their vision to life. “What started as a few sketchy fashion magazine pictures was suddenly turning into a full-scale production,” explains Wade.
Sugar and Spice Events worked closely with the Sydney couple to make their dream a reality. “The evening was planned at dusk, the Versace beach covered in dim-lit lanterns and candles by the hundreds; a huge white orchid-and-wisteria archway, our hashtag framed, while our 25 guests were all tucked out of view drinking cosmopolitans in a VIP area.”
And, though the pair clearly have impeccable expensive taste, they gave McDonald’s Happy Meals to their guests as bomboniere!
Mikhaela and Shaun
Photographed by Pineapple Images, Mikhaela and Shaun married at their romantic garden wedding in the presence of 90 guests. The ceremony setting at Coollibah Downs Private Estate in the Nerang Hinterland was described by the bride as “oozing romance”.
“The lush green backdrop of rainforest and an old wooden gazebo draped in fresh floral arrangements was stunning,” says Mikhaela.
The newlyweds then celebrated in the permanent marquee on the property filled with chaneliers and fairy lights.
“The bubbles did not stop flowing and the dance floor did not get air until the last dance.”
Mikhaela teamed her structured Craig Braybrook couture gown with sparkly jewels from Eternal Bridal, and groom Shaun was dressed in a light blue-grey three-piece-suit by Roger David.
Mikhaela and Shaun purchased their wedding rings from Michael Hill Jeweller, and had their invitations made by Vistaprint.
And, when all was said and done, the pair spent their first night as man and wife at the Palazzo Versace Hotel.
Chloe and Geoff
Captured in both photos and video by Rezolution Photography, the glamorous wedding of Chloe and Geoff was styled with The Great Gatsby as inspiration.
The decadent day was filled with gold, shine, and classy touched – not to mention their gorgeous huskies in precious wedding attire! “Anyone that knows us will tell you we have three kids, which is partially true,” says Chloe. “Our fur babies make our family perfect and our perfect day wouldn’t be complete without them.”
Chloe and Geoff wed at the Intercontinental Santuarcy Cove among 114 guests. According to Chloe, Intercontinental was more than accommodating for their pets.
The pair then danced into the night with help from entertainers Sex & Chocolate.
Probably the most lush feature at their wedding, other than the bride of course, was their cake created by Deliciously Decadent Cake Design.
The 24-carat gold and white Gatsy-themed wedding cake stood the equivalent of 11 tiers high when you counted the amazing fresh flower topper,” Chloe says.
Chloe’s gorgeous bridal makeup was done professional by the team at Bella Brides.
Leigh and Phil
Captured by Pineapple Images, Gold Coast pair Leigh and Phil said ‘I do’ among 90 guests at their sunset cocktail wedding held at Oscars In Burleigh Heads.
Leigh used Easy Weddings to design her day. Small touches like their cake topper and candle bomboniere from Styled Candle Co. helped to make it unique and special.
The pair danced all night to entertainment provided by Jake and Andy Live Acoustic Music.
“Our wedding was full of love and laughter,” recalls Leigh. “Phil woke the next morning commenting that we should do it all again! My feet definitely did not agree.”
Celebrant Pru Hux officiated Leigh and Phil’s marriage.
Leigh’s gorgeous slimline gown was sourced from Luv Bridal & Formal, while groom Phill and his son, Jackson, looked handsome in their navy Roger David suits.
“We feel so happy and blessed to have found each other,” says Leigh. “We couldn’t image life without each other.”
