Are you ready to celebrate International Women’s Day 2024? At Easy Weddings, we’re rolling out the virtual red carpet to honour the amazing women who make our team sparkle.
This year’s theme, ‘Inspire Inclusion,’ is all about recognising the diverse talents and voices that shape our world — and our team!

Who is a woman who inspires you?
What advice would you give to young women aspiring to enter your work field?
This field is so incredible. It’s fun, it’s challenging; you’re always learning new skills and new trends, but that means you have to be passionate and open to an everchanging and ever-evolving industry because it really does keep you on your toes.
It’s important to not get too caught up in all of it, especially with social media, you know? It can really become omnipresent because you’re on social media all the time for work and then you end up scrolling through socials in your downtime too.
Remembering to prioritise yourself is a must. And also, I think that it’s so important to remember, especially with this generation, that you’re never stuck where you are — you can do anything you set your mind to!

What does this year’s theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” mean to you?
Who is a woman who inspires you?
I’m a bit of a rule breaker and like to challenge the status quo. I’ve always been inspired by women who weren’t shy about challenging social norms to make a statement, like Joan Jett, Vivienne Westwood, and more recently MP Georgie Purcell.

As a woman, which aspect of working with weddings do you enjoy the most?
In my role as B2B Communications Manager, I support our wedding suppliers with tools to succeed in marketing their busiess. I absolutely love learning about their business success stories. A lot of vendors in the industry are women, so it’s really inspiring to hear how they work closely with couples to plan their wedding day and create memories they will cherish forever.
Nicole (Venue Sales Specialist)
What does this year’s theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” mean to you?
A fun and inclusive environment, where everyone can be their true, authentic selves, whether that be in the workplace, or with friends and family.
Who is a woman who inspires you?
Growing up, I was really inspired by my mum. She was unapologetically herself. She was kind, funny and would do anything to help anyone. Her example really taught me it was okay to be myself, and not hide my sparkle.
What advice would you give to young women aspiring to enter your work field?
You need to be passionate about what you do. I have always been really interested in weddings since I was quite young, and it has been a dream of mine to work in weddings in some capacity for as long as I can remember. Because of that, I’ve always loved my job, even on the tricky days.
As a woman, which aspect of working with weddings do you enjoy the most?
I love working in a female driven team. We have a strong female leader (Shout out to Darcy Allen) who is such an intelligent, caring and confident woman. We have a really supportive and fun team and work environment, which is often tricky to find.
I also love what my role at Easy Weddings allows me to do. The couples I work with are usually in the best time of their lives. Being newly engaged is such an exciting time, and it’s really special for me to get to be a part of that.
Chelsea (B2C Operations Manager)
What does this year’s theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” mean to you?
To me, inclusion means you matter — no matter who you are, what you do, where you’ve come from or what you’re going through.
Who is a woman who inspires you?
My colleague, Courtney. Through adversity of her own personally, everyday she is there with a smile on her face. She always makes sure that people feel included, inspired and involved where she can. She inspires inclusion no matter who the person is.
What advice would you give to young women aspiring to enter your work field?
Don’t be afraid to be honest. Workplaces appreciate honesty and open discussion. Without that, I wouldn’t be where I am.
As a woman, which aspect of working with weddings do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the empowerment I can give to couples planning weddings. The confidence and reassurance they are doing well and their choices, opinions and decisions, as long as they are true to themselves, are the right choices for their big day.
