Geelong football star Tom Hawkins and his high-school sweetheart Emma Clapham have married in a country ceremony over the weekend.
The couple, who celebrated their 10-year anniversary just last month, were married in an intimate outdoor ceremony on a private property in Marcus Hill, located 22kms outside Geelong.
Emma, who is the founder of lifestyle and interior blog Who Loves That, married Tom in a custom-made Cappellazzo Couture gown. The crisp white dress featured stunning structural detail on the shoulder and elegantly framed the blonde beauty’s figure. Emma completed her elegant and contemporary bridal look with diamond-stud earrings and her blonde locks swept up into a romantic low bun.
The Geelong forward scrubbed up well in a classic black tuxedo and black bow tie, and can be seen in photos from the big day grinning from ear to ear.
Emma had six bridesmaids, all of whom wore dresses in various shades of pink and soft peach. Her bridesmaids’ dresses were complimented with nude strappy heels, and spray tans and manicures which Emma had treated them to just days before.
Geelong Cats captain Joel Selwood was one of six groomsmen for Tom, who all wore suits by Rodd & Gunn. Other football players in attendance included fellow Geelong football player Jimmy Bartel and his fashion blogging wife Nadia Bartel, as well as Geelong ruckman Mitch Clark and former Geelong footballer Mathew Stokes.
Bride Emma changed into a second outfit for the wedding reception, which was a looser-fitting white gown, also made by Melbourne based couturier Cappellazzo Couture.
The couple became engaged last September, when Tom proposed during a holiday to Fiji.
