Get to know lawyer-turned-makeup-artist Viorika Iily
After pursuing a career in Europe as a successful lawyer, and then moving to Australia to work in corporate governance, Viorika decided that wasn’t the life for her. In 2018, she traded in her legal briefs for beauty blushes et voilà – Viorika Makeup was born.
We sat down with Viorika to discuss her journey into the wedding industry, her insights, and invaluable advice for brides-to-be.
The inspiration
“I’ve always had a passion for beauty, and I’m now lucky to have my profession match this. I provide makeup and hairstyle services for weddings and events, and I just love it,” Viorika tells Easy Weddings.

Operating from her home in Mosman, Viorika is more than willing to travel to accommodate her clients’ needs.

Shaping the bridal experience isn’t something Viorika takes lightly. Being responsible for the bride’s appearance on one of the most important days of her life is both a huge honour and significant commitment.
As well as being a calming force on the day and providing emotional support, Viorika extends her experience to provide reassurance that the bride will both look and feel her most beautiful on her wedding day.
“I absolutely love sharing happy moments with the bride and her bridal party,” Viorika tells us.

To achieve her clients’ dream looks, Viorika skillfully employs some of the finest luxury skincare and makeup brands. She is no stranger to big names like Tom Ford, Nars and Dior, using their products to create stunning transformations. With years of training, it’s little wonder that her talent has been recognised in several editorial pieces, such as Vogue Italia.
Naturally, she also places strong emphasis on hygiene and disinfection. Every brush, sponge and product is thoroughly sanitised between uses. This commitment to cleanliness not only protects the health and safety of her clients but also maintains the integrity and performance of her makeup tools and products.
The secret to her success – alongside a combination of experience and talent – is that she forms meaningful connections with her clients. “As much as I love working on all kinds of events, I’ve built friendships with so many of my beautiful regular clients.”
Viorika’s advice on how to survive your wedding day
“If I could give one piece of advice on your wedding day, it is being prepared that something will sorely go against the plan (the weather, someone dropping off last minute or a classical pimple showing up on the big day). Just be relaxed about it and know that you and your guests will be having an amazing time regardless!”
