A pre-loved wedding gown website claims to be selling the stunning $85,000 couture dress worn by Beyonce in the memorable video clip for her hit single, Best Thing I Never Had.
The listing’s wording is ambiguous, so it doesn’t make it unequivocally clear whether it is the very same dress Beyonce wore that is for sale or whether it is merely another dress in the same style and design, however, it gives the distinct impression that it is the same dress worn by Beyonce in the video clip below.
“A dress is just a dress until a bride dons it and brings it to life,’ says the site’s blog. “But some gowns have a glory all their own, like the beautiful Baracci dress worn by Beyonce in her memorable music video Best Thing I Never Had.
The listing goes on to say that “This Baracci dress exudes custom luxury, as is fitting for its prominent role in a video made by one of the world’s reigning music stars.
“Off-white with flecks of gold, the ballgown silhouette is hand-draped double silk. It features a sweetheart neckline and is embroidered with French Lace and generously covered with shimmering hand-sewn Swarovski pendants and crystals.”
The listing, which can be found here, says the dress, a strapless, size-four ballgown, is being sold for $30,000. That’s 64% off the retail price.
Ironically, Beyonce’s video clip dress is vastly more complex and detailed than the very simple white gown chose to marry in later that year for her own real-life wedding to rapper Jay-Z
