British baker – and bride – Lara Mason has stunned her groom – and their guests – by unveiling a jaw-dropping wedding cake: a life-size replica of her and her groom, Nick – that she made.
Lara, 29, who married Nick, 27, in Malta in October (2015), is an award-winning baker known for her life-size celebrity cake sculptures. Her most famous creations include an award-winning confectionery creation of Prince George, as well as edible versions of Hollywood actors Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games and Johnny Depp – in full costume – as his celebrated character Captain Jack Sparrow.

The buttercake bride’s Prince George replica cake took out the show’s gold medal.
All that experience helped Lara, from Brownhills in the West Midlands, craft her most personal creation: her own wedding cake(s). The doughy duo took her a gruelling 20 hours over three days to complete and weighed a whopping 140kgs.
The bridal baker lovingly replicated her wedding gown, right down to the diamante-encrusted belt – and she added a touch of humour to her groom cake by fitting him with a beer hat that he appears to be guzzling happily.
Understandably, the newlyweds received many humorous reactions from their guests. “I caught one of my husband’s friends biting my nose at one point,” the bride, who has been baking for four years, told her local newspaper, the Express & Star.
