Getting that wedding glow with Anna McEvoy and Goldee Bee
When Anna McEvoy was planning her Corfu wedding, she knew that the one thing she couldn’t be without was a signature wedding glow.
For many brides, nailing your wedding tan is on par with the dress, hair, and makeup. It’s part of the whole look. When it came to Anna’s wedding, this wasn’t an issue. The reality TV star and host of the popular Where’s Your Head At podcast knew that her own brand Goldee Bee would be able to give her the fresh, glowy, healthy skin that she was looking for.
Anna had the idea to start a luxury natural tanning brand when she realised she could combine her knowledge of the best products from her 15-plus years of experience tanning herself.
“I wanted to create a brand that encompassed everything I’ve searched for as a consumer of the tanning industry,” Anna explains when talking about the inception of Goldee Bee. “A brand that not only focused on the perfect glow that would give me confidence, but one that truly cared about skin health and hydration,” she continues.
In 2023, with the support of her then-fiance (now husband) Michael Staples, the pair created the product that would be the missing puzzle piece for those who self-tan.

Through conversations, trials, and tests, Anna and Michael determined what was missing from other products on the market.
“Other than the perfect glow, the product is ultra-hydrating, leaving your skin looking plump, radiant, and golden,” says Anna. “It’s filled with skin-loving ingredients, including green tea, aloe vera, and hyaluronic acid.”
Another important aspect was that the product combats some of the harsh effects and ingredients of others in the market. “Our tanning mist is over 95% natural ingredients,” Anna explains.

This subtleness and natural final look make the brand usable for all genders. In fact, Anna’s husband and Goldee Bee co-founder Michael, has been known to use the product himself.

How did Anna achieve her wedding glow?
Achieving that signature wedding glow takes a little prep. Anna explains how she managed to look so naturally sun-kissed: “I do not naturally tan. I also actively protect my skin from the sun. No one would ever know this, though, because I’m so bronzed!”
She relied on the face tanning mist and used it in the lead-up to her big day, as it’s been designed as a buildable colour—meaning you can control how much you want to use.
