Hayley was truly amazing, from start to finish. She even called from her kids sports carnival to go over what we had in mind for the day. The end product was absolutely amazing, way better then I could have ever imagined. Our 18 month old daughter loves it so much she asks to watch the video everyday! The way the video was put together was truly professional and something I will cherish forever. There is something special about seeing your guests and their facial expressions in video form. What can I say? I spent a lot of hours searching for a videographer for our wedding. Hayley was a pleasure to work with. She is so calm and professional which you really need in a chaotic day. What should we budget for drone footage at our wedding?

Would really love to add this element to our video as we are getting married on a beautiful private property, it's stunning. What should we budget for drone footage?

Depending on whether you want extensive drone footage, or just a few snippets to fit into your film, in most cases the costings of this is factored into most videographers packages. However, for those that don't offer drone as part of their package (whether they are able to fly themselves or just don't include it), then they would outsource that option to a dedicated drone pilot. We offer simple drone shots of the venue and the couple into our packages, but if a couple wanted extensive footage , we may need to bring on a second shooter to capture that, time allowing. I would enquire with your preferred videographers as to whether they offer this as an inclusion , or whether they outsource this. We have our drone licence and know where we can fly, the CASA Rules and Regs and have insurance for our work so make sure that if it's outsourced, they have that at the very least.

How long does it realistically take to get your wedding video back?

What would be the normal cause of delays?

Each company has a different turnaround time and it's important to note those expectations and guidelines in a good written contract. However, on the average, I would say that if you haven't heard from your videographer for 12 weeks (3 months), I would touch base and ask them for the expected turn around time. When we first started, we didn't have too many bookings and our quality wasn't too great, nor was our length of films long. Now, we offer longer films, carefully choose which footage goes where, spend extra time on audio and colour grading and ensure our clients get the best effort from us. On average, we are around 3 months, however in some circumstances it can be longer depending on number of films included in package, length and also number of weddings we capture. During November to March is our busiest time here in the west, so films can take longer to deliver for weddings during those months compared to May or August.
