My name is Matthew Bettinaglio & I have a passion for capturing moments through film.

In year 9 me & my mates would skate all across Perth filming each other as we did it but eventually the camera took over. A trip to Italy & Switzerland in 2009 sparked a passion to capture everything I see.

Fast forward to 2011 & Direct Films became a registered business name. We’ve really grown since starting out & have found our niche in cinematic wedding films.

To me it doesn’t feel like a job. I’m with a couple on one of the happiest days of their lives & am able to capture their day in a way that photos can’t. It’s exciting to know that in the years to come these couples will share their video with various friends, family, children & even their children’s children!

We film using professional canon cameras & lenses & also use a plethora of cinematic equipment from sliders to glidecams.

Our goal is to not give you a run of the mill wedding video that is basically ‘point & shoot’ but to showcase you as a couple in a cinematic way that really displays your love for one another because really, that’s what your wedding day is all about!
