Fun fact: I (Imogen, the founder of Ginger Imagery) actually used to be a professional videographer! You know, the ones with the big cameras. I started wedding content creation as I realised that whenever I had the big professional camera out, people would tense up and I wouldn’t be able to get the authentic feel of the moment. That’s why I started content creation for weddings: Because I wanted to capture the real behind-the-scenes moments for couples to remember forever.

Wedding videographers provide their clients with a five-minute gorgeously polished summary video of their wedding. You should opt for a wedding videographer if you want a formal vibe to remember your wedding day by. Wedding photographers take professional photos and edit them to look artistic, and although we do offer wedding photography services, we always recommend hiring a professional wedding photographer.

As wedding content creators, we capture all the behind-the-scenes moments that are more informal and candid. That means all the raw footage of authentic moments of you and your guests at your wedding will be shot by us. You should opt for a wedding content creator if you want the intimate moments captured in a discreet way, and prefer an all round informal and fun vibe!

Yes definitely! The beauty of wedding content creation is that we take on the best friend POV and capture every. single. moment. of your special day. You’ll get everything! The bloopers, the funny moments, the intimate moments, everything that happens on your wedding day (even if you don’t get to see it in the flesh) will be provided for you to remember forever!

PS - we have 1-on-1 meetings beforehand to chat about anything you’d prefer we don’t feature. This is to make sure you’re 100% comfortable with the content we’re shooting for you.

You’ll get all the raw content captured on your special day before your head hits the pillow on your wedding night! Once you wake up in the morning, you can share them with your loved ones all over the world (or on social media) the very next day! The other content that has to be edited will be sent to you within 48 hours. 

We actually get this question a lot! 

We have a lot of experience working with camera-shy people – if they are especially camera shy and uncomfortable to be on camera, we’ll respect that and totally avoid getting content of them altogether, but we do ensure that we bring a very relaxed and comforting vibe to your wedding that allows us to take photos and content without people even realising that they’re on camera!

We have heaps of ways to help camera-shy people to open up and become less nervous. For example, during the Video Guestbook, we will invite a friend sitting close by to be in their interview. We will hand over the mics and give them soft prompts to spark a casual conversation about you both. We prioritise getting them to smile and assure them the content we’re recording is only going to you as the couple.
