Based in Newcastle and capturing weddings in Hunter Valley, Sydney, Central Coast, Mid North Coast and beyond! We are a small team of professional videographers who have a passion for capturing weddings.

Our packages start at $1,799 for the Short and Sweet Package and go right up to the Luxury level for those who want everything covered. As well as our pre-planned packages, we are also able to tailor a videography package specific to your needs.

KSC Weddings was founded by Kye Smith who has worked in the media production industry since graduating from a Bachelor of Communications (majoring in Media Production) at University of Newcastle in 2012. After working in various areas of the media industry for several years Kye began filming weddings casually and found there was something really unique about filming weddings compared to working in other areas of media. His passion for weddings grew and KSC Weddings was launched in early 2020.

Q. How would most of the couples you’ve worked with describe your wedding day personality? 

A. Like a fly on the wall, most of the time you will not even realise that we are there!

Q. What’s the number one thing you always do or recommend when couples are nervous in front of the camera? 

A. We try to avoid directing too many shots, so many of the best moments are authentic because the couple do not realise that we are shooting. 

Q. Do you usually meet with couples prior to their wedding day? 

A. Yes we will meet either for a coffee or a phone/zoom call, just to field any questions and ensure that the couple and us are on the exact same page with what they are looking for with their wedding videography.

Q. Do you usually work alone or with a second shooter? 

A. Most of our packages are single shooter to keep our footprint as small as possible, however there are some packages that require a second shooter, such as the deluxe package or when there are multiple angles on the live stream.

Q. How quickly do you turnaround footage to a couple following their wedding? 

A. We guarantee that all videos will be edited and delivered within 90 days of the wedding, however we are always much faster than that. We love to provide a sneak peek video within a week or two of the wedding with the full video available within a couple of weeks after that. 

Q. What else would you like couples to know about what you do?

A. Our aim is to fit as seamlessly as possible within your special day so we ensure that everything is planned ahead of time and if anything changes on the day, we are completely flexible. We just want you to enjoy your day and be blown away with the video at the end of it all.

I started my videography journey in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Communications (Majoring in Media Production) at UON. After working in various areas of the media industry for several years I began filming weddings casually and found a strong passion in capturing once in a lifetime moments and sharing them with couples. I decided to make this a focus and launched KSC Weddings in early 2020. When not capturing weddings you can find me drumming or hanging with my partner and toddler.
