Low key wedding venues in Melbourne area? 40 people!

In melboure- City, Yarra valley, dandenongs: we are looking for somewhere to host our intimate wedding ceremony and lunch after. our vision is to have an intimate low key ceremony with family approx 40 guests on beautiful grounds, then a lunch to follow preferably private dining but doesn't have to be. The venue doesn't have to be exclusively booked by us either. Any Suggestions?

Hi Erin,

We have a little restaurant on the edge of the Carlton Gardens with a lovely private room on our first floor with it'sown balcony which will fit a max of 40.

If you'd like to come and have a look let me know and we can arrange a time.

Kind regards,

Guy.

Congratulations on your recent engagement!

We are in Geelong, but host many low key, intimate ceremonies and luncheons. We have one for 20 guests in May.

Your wedding will be private. We are the all weather space, as we have commercial heating and cooling, so you and your guests will be comfortable. We allow outside catering. We also have accomodation on site.

Kindest regards, Yolanda and Darren, The Warehouse Geelong.

At Gembrook in the Dandenongs is a unique solution to your request.

Sue Jarvis Gallery Garden is a mature garden of 10 acres with parking on site, tracks to the tree-fern lined Cockatoo Creek and a Gallery for refreshments and shelter. The grounds are beautiful, and full of colour in Autumn and Spring. Perfect for a mid day wedding.

5 minutes drive away in Main Street is The Independent Retaurant which can cater for wedding receptions of your 40 guests.

Quite a few venues come to mind! In Melbourne: HopHaus would be lovely for lunch post a wedding at King's domain. It's right on the Yarra river. Mon Bijou would suit an elegant affair, with spectacular city views and an indoor spot for your ceremony, otherwise, you could be married at Carlton Gardens and move to Mon Bijou for cocktails and lunch afterward. For something truly unique, you have to check out the MV pearl, a luxurious yacht! It departs from Docklands and there are plenty of parks in the city to be married in that you could pair with this option. Syracuse, a beautiful venue would also be a great reception/lunch option, with a focus on smaller, boutique weddings. Another convenient option in the CBD could be Jardin Tan, as it's set in the Royal Botanic Gardens, and offers many dining experiences to suit your celebration. In South Morang, Farm Vigano features great food and amazing wine, as well as beautiful grounds for your ceremony. In Thornbury, there's a venue called Little Henri which may suit a modern couple looking for a unique venue. There's also a huge range of menu options. In the Yarra Valley, I recommend taking a look at winery/restaurant options. From Rochford Wines, to Yarra Valley Lodge to Fergusson Winery, there are so many options. In the Dandenongs, there's Riverstone Estate, Marybrooke Manor and Balgownie Estate that all boast beautiful venues that have minimums of 10/20/30 so would suit your wedding. In the Macedon ranges (just 70 mins from the CBD!) is The Little Church which is a quaint venue that you will love. You could have a relaxed, outdoor function with food trucks or a caterer here. All of these venues are listed on Easy Weddings. Take a look!
