How to make sure our wishing well is secure at our reception

At the Plaza Ballroom, we request for the wishing well to be locked prior to the event and for the key to be kept with a trusted family member or friend, for the duration of the night. The wishing well is set up initially in the foyer where all guests enter into the venue and is in a highly visible, high traffic location. This gives an opportunity for guests to make their way to the wishing well while being served canapes and pre-dinner drinks on trays. Once formalities begin, our Event Operations Manager will lead one of your trusted family members to move the wishing well from the foyer to the secondary location, which is usually right beside the bridal table. This is again, in a highly visible area right next to your bridal table and a family table. Guests can continue to access the wishing well to drop off cash or presents. At the end of the night, our dediated bridal attendants will assist your family or bridal party in packing up the couple's belongings, including the still locked wishing well for them to take home. 

At SkyHigh, the wishing well is placed in the area in front of the bar. This is a high traffic area, and constantly has a staff member nearby. Some couples also choose to add a lock to the wishing well for added security. We hope this helps!

Here at Realm, we find the wishing wells are kept in a high traffic area towards the back of the room, where staff can assist in keeping an eye on it, as the event moves on, our dedicated bridal team member, or wedding co-ordinator notifiy family and remove the well from the room and deliver it to the bridal suite, where it is safe, secure and waiting for the bride and groom after their reception!

Lots of our clients have a lock on their wishing well and keep it in a heavy traffic area so it's always in sight. Some people have even had this as a decoration on the head table if they are worried or leave it in a private suite once guests have arrived. We hope this helps!
