Do you provide management and MC'ing on the day?

Yes, our experienced owner of Sundial Events, Susie, is assigned to the wedding party to provide mamagement of the day as part of the wedding package. She will ensure a super smooth running of all your events and is highly protective of the bride and groom and their wishes for a beautiful and memorable day. An MC for speeches can also be provided as part of your package. Please request this as part of your quote.

Are guests allowed to pat the sheep?

Our Baby Doll Southdown sheep are working sheep and provide us with a means of cropping grass under the vines. Hence they are short enough to get underneath and chew away unwanted grass and help clear the paddocks. They are not pets so we need to be mindful that they do not like to be overly patted and chased. We provide handfuls of feed if you want to get closer and of course they are available in the front paddock for photo opportunities.

Do you have fire pits and BBQ's?

Yes we have fire pits around the property, one main fire pit situated at the front entrance for our Camp Fire Wine Tatsting Nights plus fire pits for the Main House and Cottage overlooking the front paddocks. We organise fire permits in order to offer safe lighting of fires throughout the year and all firewood, firelighters, marshmallows and even chestnuts can be provided on request. There are BBQ's for each of the three accomodation options and we can also provide catering for organised BBQ's as part of an after party or pre wedding celebration. Please request a quote.

Do you have space for parking on site?

We have plenty of parking spaces at the front of our property, accomodating 16 cars. We can also open up our side paddock as an overflow car park.

How easy is it to get transport into Mudgee from Short Sheep Farm and Micro Winery?

There are a range of ways to get into town which we can organise for you upon request, including our local vineyard tour bus and taxis. It is just 6 kms into Mudgee directly down the main Ulan Road.

Of course you would be most welcome and it is highly recommended that you come and take time to look around and discuss all your wedding needs with our wedding planners from Sundial Events. Do you have accomodation on site?

Yes we have accomodation to sleep up to 14 guests in the following three properties :-

Our Main House (two queen bedrooms, one double bedroom)

Plus our Farm Stay Suite (one queen bedroom, one sofa bed), attached to the main house.

Plus Cottage next door (one queen bed, one sofa bed in lounge)

Can you provide flowers for our celebration?

Yes, we bring fresh flowers up from Sydney Flower Markets and arrange them on site to suit your brief. We can provide all bouquets, flower arrangements, button holes, table decorations and also provide our faux flower decorations throughout the property.

Can you provide wine tastings and wine pairings as part of a booking?

Yes, we will tailor-make wine pairings to your chosen menu, can offer wine making presentations and wine tasting sessions whilst photos of the bride and groom are taking place on the property. We can even provide wine blending options for your guests to experiment and can organise unique wine labels made to commemorate your special occasion.

Do you provide catering on site?

Yes, we have catering packages available. We can cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, lactose free and of course pescatarian and carnivorous diets. We transport our seafood up on a Friday fresh from the Sydney Seafood Markets and our local butcher in Mudgee provides all local meats. As much fresh produce as possible is sourced from local growers inlcuding the famous Mudgee High Valley Cheeses.

Yes, we have our own beautiful sports car green MG available for the bride and groom to have "Just Married" photos included in their photo shoot. Please request a quote for use.

Short Sheep Farm was an ideal location for our laid-back, country-style wedding just a few minutes from Mudgee. Susie, from Sundial Events, and Tony the owner of Short Sheep Farm were fabulous. Everything went to plan, the place is rustic and beautiful, the food delicious and the wine, made on-site in the Micro Winery by Tony is of excellent quality. Susie is a great event coordinator and nothing was too much trouble. Seb and I had a memorable day with our guests who loved the place especially sitting with the sheep and enjoying drinks around the top dam. Seb and I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.
