Can I have my ceremony and reception on board?

Yes - all our vessels have separate spaces for your ceremony and reception.

Can we dock to allow our Celebrant to disembark?

Yes - we are happy to dock after your ceremony to allow your Celebrant to depart. We are happy to create an event that will allow other guests to arrive/depart as you require.

Where do you depart from?

Your event can board from the harbour wharf of your choice - our vessels can dock at most harbour wharves.

We had a wonderful time on our cruise for our wedding! The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, especially Snita, she was wonderful and great with the kids! :) The standard of food was excellent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed everything that was served. The staff were all very attentive to our needs which made our day even better as everything ran so smoothly. We would have no hesitation in recommending captain cook cruises to our friends and family in the future.

We had our wedding aboard Captain Cook cruises with ceremony out on the deck.Doing the wedding on a cruise made the occasion very special not just for us but for our guests as well.The cruise was great, the food, and all the staff helped make it an event to remember.

Hiring the boat for a 1.5hr transfer cruise to take us between our ceremony and reception venues was possibly the best decision of the wedding. The views of Sydney Harbour made an amazing photo backdrop and we received many compliments from our guests many of whom are not from Sydney. There was a slight mix up in communication of boat set up and access between the upper and lower levels which was important as we had low mobility guests with accessibility needs. However this was quickly sorted on the day. All up though it was a fantastic and memorable part of the wedding.

What is a realistic bar tab for 150 guests (Beer, wine, cider, soft drink)?

I have done a mountain of research and the calculations people provide leave us with a figure of about $10k but then when people who have been married make comment it is far less. I just need a realistic figure to put in our budget. We are looking into having the reception as a gin distillery so their drinks are a little pricier but they haven't officially opened yet so I don't have them. Thanks!

Hi Jenna - we would usually recommend a budget of $6000-9000 for a 4-5hr event with 150 guests. We usually find people drink a little more in Summer, a little less in Winter, and of the age and background of your guests can be a factor also. Negotiating a package will help ensure you know what your spend will be and dont get any unexpected suprises at the end when the bill is presented.
