OVERVIEW

Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates from a beautiful sandstone building dating back to the 1830's. Classified by the National Trust, "Rockend" is where A.B.'Banjo' Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother.

Set in 5 acres of parkland the cottage is directly surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the water. Banjo Paterson's is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The fully air-conditioned restaurant offers several private dining rooms, ideal for seated wedding receptions.

Immediately below the cottage is a substantial private jetty, suitable for all types of boats also allowing access to water taxis , a lovely way for the bride & groom or guests to arrive or depart.

The Restaurant's primary function is a la carte dining, however the restaurant is available for functions any day of the week.

At Banjo Paterson's we ensure our beautiful setting and our friendly and helpful staff will make your day a special and memorable one.

We celebrated our wedding day at Banjo Patterson Cottage. We were expecting really good quality service and food, but you surprised us and exceeded our expectations...!! We all had brilliant time, with many of my friends and family vowing to return. Great location, fantastic views, the wait staff were all lovely, and the food was delicious, and a special mention for Shack, who added a wonderful positive energy to the whole wedding... what more could one want ? This is the perfect venue if your looking for a ceremony and reception in one for an intimate wedding. The gardens are beautiful with stunning waterviews and the restaurant produced exceptionally good food for a party of 35 with friendly yet professional service.

Banjo Paterson was brilliant! Robert was super helpful throughout the whole process and the main waitress Denise was a true asset to this business. The food is really special, not your typical “chicken and beef” wedding, this food is yum. Our wedding day looked like rain but it managed to hold off and the venue were more that happy to move our inside ceremony back outside for us so we could have our dream ceremony. The venue is absolutely beautiful, beautiful building, gardens, food and staff. It was a really special day for us!
