We understand that making a decision on your preferred venue can take a little time and you may often want to consult with family and friends. With this in mind we offer our potential clients a tentative booking for 7 days once they have been to view the venue. This essentially places your name on the date but is not a booking. Once the 7 days has expired your name is removed from the date. Encore St Kilda Beach reserves the right to take a confirmed booking over any tentative booking. We will try our best to contact you to offer you the date but unfortunately until a booking is confirmed and deposit paid the booking is not confirmed.
All you need to do is notify us in writing. We will then issue you with a contract to complete and a deposit invoice for 20% of your minimum spend; this amount can be paid by cash, credit card, EFT or direct deposit. You have a maximum of 7 days to make this payment and submit the completed confirmation form.
All our event spaces have minimum spends which are priced according to the date, time and number of guests. A minimum spend is the minimum amount to be met on food and beverage to reserve the space. The per head cost is determined by what you choose to offer your guests.
Encore is licensed until 1am - however most of our client's enjoy 5 - 6 hour events commencing between 6pm and 7pm and concluding between 11pm and 12:30am. We have found this is the perfect time for everyone to be fully present and to enjoy your special day with you.
We have three curated beverage package offerings here at Encore, featuring different ways to enjoy your beverage selections during your wedding experience. These packages range from simple beer and wine selections, to a variety of different wine and beer selections, and also the option to include standard or premium spirits in your celebration. Any couple including an unlimited spirit offering is welcome to bring up to two complimentary BYO bottles of wine or spirit of their choice to be served from behind the bar on the day. If there is something you would like to include that isn't featured in our beverage packages, you can speak with your coordinator to explore whether we can source and include it in your offering for you. Alternatively, if you do have a cultural request, we'd love to chat this through with you.
There are 420 car spaces available within the St Kilda Sea Baths Complex. Two complimentary prepaid car passes are provided per booking. Please note these are not reserved parking. Additional pre-paid passes can be arranged. 10 days notice is required if more than 10 pre-paid parking passes are needed.
Absolutely, we aim to provide suitable options for all our guests. We do however need adequate time to accommodate special requests and therefore all dietary requirements must be confirmed no later than 10 working days prior to the event date.
Yes, we have a range of options to hold your ceremony onsite – it is a very special location with shimmering water backdrops and views across the bay and to the City. Please speak to one of our event team professionals about these options.

Some venues do not allow pets for a number of reasons. Some of these are:
- There is not an appropriate space for the pet to go to the toilet
- Some pets can cause mess in the venue
- Some pets can become scared ad uneasy being in an unfamiliar setting
- O,H&S reasons - some venues cannot serve food where animals are present

Here at Encore, we give all our couples the opportunity to upgrade to a rooftop ceremony from October - April. The ceremony's final location is an on the day decision we make based on the weather (wind, heat and and rain). If we are looking at a rooftop ceremony, the wet weather back up option is our beautiful dancefloor, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Port Phillip Bay. Here, you have stabilized climate control and are protected from the elements, whilst still enjoying the beautiful view of the beach. If we are unable to proceed with the rooftop, the rooftop upgrade is refunded to you post event.
