Typically, in peak season, The George Kerferd does book out fairly quickly on desired days (Saturdays)

However, it is unusual that we never have availability either on the day requested or a week or two either side. We generally recommend booking 6 months in advance.

Off peak times (winter and autumn weddings) are generally a little slower, but by far the best lighting for amazing wedding photos. We also have the added bonus of an outdoor firepit underneath a sea of fairy lights which creates amazing atmosphere. 

Generally, after the ceremony, the bride and groom go off to have their wedding photos taken with their bridal party and key family members.

Guests are invited on to our terrace or into the bar and enjoy a beverage and mingle at this time. You can choose to organise canapes to be served to your guests while they are waiting for you to return.

TIp: It is important for you to let your guests know what to do between the ceremony and reception. If they need to be on their own for a couple of hours before the reception starts, its a great idea to give them options of ome things to do in the local area.

We are happy to block out accommodation for your guests to call up and reserve for the night of the wedding. Blocked rooms are all released to the general public if they are not reserved by wedding guests 2 months prior to the day.

Please note that although we have blocked rooms for your special event, standard room rates and conditions still apply, therefore typically in peak season 2 night minimum stays may be required.
