Yes, our venue's wedding coordinator has 10 years experience planning weddings and will connect you with all of the great suppliers in our area as welll as help you with your timline and floor plan

How many people can we accommodate for a sit down wedding?

We can comfortably seat 150 guests for your sit down wedding

Just how close to the beach are we?

Close!! You can see and hear the beach from our balcony and our glass windows throughout the restaurant gives you unobstructed views until the sun goes down.

Do you offer wedding tastings?

Yes, complimentary wedding tastings are all part of the service once you have booked your date.

Do I need to make an appointment to view the venue?

Saltwater is a restaurant open seven days a week, so you can always pop in for a meal and take a look around. Making an apppointment with our wedding coordinator is definately reccommended if you wish to find out what we offer for weddings, how it works and available dates.

Wow! Katie from Saltwater handled all communication from the onset with such understanding and guidance. Nothing was ever an issue even my many questions and changes! Kylie and Dave have such an impeccable team representing them and it shows with the very kind words their staff would say about them. The food was to die for and the venue setup, even though we had to resort to an inside ceremony was just as perfect! Our guests could not stop commenting on the venue and the inclusions which xome from choosing to have your special day with them. Im so glad my wedding plans were affected by COVID last year and that we were able to secure our date at Saltwater and have all our family and friends join in the celebrations with no restrictions. To any bride wondering if she should choose Saltwater, absolutely!! You will not regret your decision!

From the moment we stepped into Saltwater Restaurant, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. All communication was easy and nothing was ever too much to ask. The food was absolutely sensational along with the service from staff. Their attention to detail in ensuring everything ran smooth was a priority and the view is spectacular for a wedding. Our guests fell in love with Saltwater just as we did on our first visit. We cannot recommend the venue enough and this hidden gem is one of a kind.

We had our wedding at saltwater and only have wonderful things to say, and believe everyone should book there if they want the best wedding experience. After having our wedding at another venue cancelled due to covid, Katie the wedding coordinator went above and beyond to help us replan our wedding in 3-4 months. She made the process so much easier then the previous venue providing us with super helpful checklist and run sheet taking away so much of planning stress. Katie was so easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions promptly. She helped coordinate with chef to ensure all food was safely prepared to account for myself and guests food allergies. On the day Dave and Kylie (owners) were wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day. They coordinated with our suppliers on the day so we didn’t have

Saltwater Restaurant is such a fantastic wedding venue. I fell in love with everything about it just over a year ago when we first visited, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for our wedding on the 6th of march this year. Even though it rained and we couldn’t have the ceremony on the balcony as planned, the wet weather backup inside was still absolutely perfect — cozy, intimate, and beautiful. We had eaten at Saltwater four times before the wedding, and each meal was amazing. The food is always top-notch. The staff was incredible, and Katie, in particular, made the entire process so much easier. She provided us with a wedding document that helped us stay organized and stress-free throughout the planning process, and she was always there to answer any questions we had, whether by phone, email, or in person. We have a 4-month-old baby and stayed at the Fingal Bay Holiday Park, which was such a family-friendly destination. Accommodation was reasonably priced, as was the wedding venue itself. All our guests had an amazing week with so much to do in the area — go-karting, golf, free lawn bowls, and courtesy buses running from the sports club, which was a big win for the older guests. The only downside was that a few guests had to pull out last minute due to the cyclone, and unfortunately, we couldn’t get a refund for the food or alcohol, which was a bit of a letdown. But overall, it was still a lovely day and night, and we would definitely recommend Saltwater to anyone looking for a beautiful, memorable wedding experience!

WOW! Where do I even start? We had the MOST amazing day ever. We cannot thank you all at Saltwater enough for everything. Honestly, we cannot fault a single thing from the day let alone give you any feedback for improvements because everything was just PERFECT! Katie and Jordan, your organisation and planning documents made it so easy for us to navigate what we wanted and when. We never had to overthink anything or question, because you had provided us with the appropriate information in such an easy and friendly manner. The actual venue itself and all the inclusions was just a dream. Little things like not having to worry about cutlery, napkins and even the bigger things like the arbour and wishing well made it SO EASY. The staff on the day/night were incredible. We felt as if they genuinely wanted to be there and were enjoying every moment alongside us. Nothing was too big of a problem if anyone asked for anything in particular. THE FOOD!!! Well, if we haven't heard it once, we have heard it about 1000 times by now how exceptional the food was. The canapes were incredible! The crowd favourites had to be the duck pancakes and the mini burgers. My mum (who is always thinking about if there is enough food when having events) could not stop talking about how much food there was just in the canapes - too the point she filled up so much before dinner!! And well our mains, the best lamb cutlets I have ever had. Again, have only heard about how good both the cutlets and the chicken was. Hats off the chef!
