OVERVIEW

Faversham House is exclusive to you, your friends and family to enjoy for a very special country house wedding. One venue, one wedding with a ceremony, reception and accommodation.

Located in the Avon Valley, just over one hour's drive from Perth and near the town of York which offers the most amazing buildings for very unique pictures. Our historic two story stone building has oodles of character. We have a dedicated stone amphitheatre for the wedding ceremony, saving the front lawns and gardens for the reception festivities. We work with you to achieve your dream day.

We have a dedicated caterer, a list of recommended service providers and the ability to BYO for the reception (conditions apply). Please ask for an information package which sets out to answer the primary questions. Then give us a call to get started!

PLEASE NOTE:  FAVERSHAM HOUSE HAS BEEN IN THE MARKET FOR SALE, BUT THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE.  BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE.

About

I love to meet people, especially those who are embarking on their 'formal' lives together and have chosen Faversham House to celebrate this. It's really great to be involved in the planning and being able to use my experience to offer them solutions to make the event fun and also fulfil their dreams. It's such a privilege to meet the families and friends and be a part of their day. My history includes years of customer service training and hospitality, and even a few years of standup comedy.

September 2017

Alessandro and Fabiana did an amazing job at looking after us throughout the whole week-end. Everything was just perfect, we felt like king and queen under their care. They thought about everything ahead and came to find us when they were unsure about something. They helped us with emergencies and unexpected things, like decreasing the wedding dress on the day or printing the translated speeches 2 hours before the reception when we realised we forgot them!

Faversham is a BEAUTIFUL venue and we loved it from the start. It was a great place to stay for the whole wedding weekend. So many details were included and Nola put the day together beautifully. It was a great place to have a stress free wedding.

A wonderful and other worldly place. The rooms are beautiful and the tranquility of the house is ideal for the lead up to the wedding.

What weather contingency (backup) plans do venues have for outdoor spaces?

Faversham House

Hi   You are quite right to raise this question, because as lovely as your outdoor venue is, we cannot, unfortunately, control the weather.  Many B&Gs choose Faversham House for the gorgeous house backdrop that we offer for weddings on our terrace lawn.  We advise to budget for a marquee - our supplier has a lovely clear one that can accommodate fairy lights and STILL have the house visible - and if they don't need it, well there's that money now to add to the honeymoon or house fund.   It's much better to plan for worst case scenario and not have to stress.  Our lovely supplier lets us confirm up to 10 days out, so we get the best opportunity to save costs.

If my fiance and I can't agree on wedding venue, what should we do?

Should we have our ceremony at one and reception at the other? Should one of us compromise? I'm not sure what to do

Faversham House

A difficult one but not something to get upset about.  Maybe both let go of your initial positions, and agree to start from scratch with a joint dream board.  As someone else suggested here,  start with the essentials and plan outwards from that.  You might just find you end up with something completely different than what you, as an individuals started with, but you will end up with something that you both, as a couple, have built together.

How much nicer will it be to know that no one has 'given in' (and possible may be resentful later),  but you have begun your journey together as you intend to go on, caring for and thinking of, your soul mate.

Is there a list of ceremony only venues?

Faversham House

With so many lovely places on Easy Weddings, why not shortlist those ones that look really lovely to you, and phone them to ask.  I would think that some would be happy to offer this, maybe not on a Saturday, but during a weekday if this suited you.
