OVERVIEW

The historic property of Belvoir is located in the beautiful Swan Valley at the base of the Darling Ranges, approximately 35 minutes from the CBD.

The building is of traditional Australian Federation design with five metre high ceilings, brass chandeliers, sweeping Jarrah staircases, beautifully appointed rooms, grand entrances and full-length French windows capturing views that few venues in Perth can surpass. Its carefully manicured and curated gardens boast some of the most beautiful photographic opportunities in Perth and better still, there are a number of landscaped areas that are ideal to hold the wedding ceremony.

The entry to Belvoir is along our majestic pine tree lined drive. Turning to the homestead you are introduced to the manicured lawns and deciduous trees who's leaves in Autumn turn to deep reds and yellows. Our white picket fences and landscaped tierd gardens provide shaded and private areas ideal for for the bridal party to share a few quiet moments of reflection or to have photographs taken.

The team at Belvoir is innovative, dedicated and able to design for you a unique event that will long be remembered. We have the capacity to cater for large and small functions with the flexibility to meet your requirements. Our team are dedicated to working with couples from different cultural backgrounds, customs and requirements.

For many years we have catered for same-sex couple commitment ceremonies and we are now happy to see many of our couples returning to formalise their relationships with legalised marriage ceremonies.

We encourage you to be unique and would be delighted to help you create your own individual package. Our in-house catering facilities are state of the art and our Michelin Star Chef can prepare for you a truly five-star menu.

Please do not hesitate to contact Belvoir should you have any additional queries, or if you would like to make an appointment to view our venue.

Our experience with Tanja and Toni at Belvoir Homestead was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Belvior for a ceremony location and reception. The food was great with generous serves. All of our guests commented on how they had a wonderful time and how beautiful the venue was. Thank you Belvior for making our day perfect. Mike and Lesley XXXXX

January 2021

Our wedding at the Belvoir Homestead’s Rustic Barn was absolutely perfect and the staff and owner were incredibly helpful, friendly and ensured everything ran smoothly. We loved every minute of our special day at this venue. We had our ceremony in the gardens and the reception in the historic 1830’s shearing shed. It was rustic, relaxed and everything we hoped for. We had our photos on the property with lots of stunning locations and a sunset shot across the valley. Our experience organizing and holding our wedding at this venue was wonderful and we are so glad we found Belvoir. We highly recommend this venue. Special thanks to all the Team who helped make our special day.

November 2020

My husband and I got married at the Belvoir Homestead on the 3rd January 2020 and it was absolutely perfect. Tanja, Shirley and the team listened to all of our questions and requests to make sure the day was exactly how we wanted it. The set up was amazing, we'd requested to have a central aisle towards to Loton arbour despite the hilly side of the grass and they made it happen. The food was absolutely incredible and the staff on the day/night were so friendly and helpful. The day before the wedding my bridesmaids and I went to set up the place cards and check on the venue, Toni was there and she allowed and helped us to move the tables so they were exactly where we wanted them. She also helped out during the ceremony, signalling the bridesmaids to start walking down the aisle and during the reception

How to choose a wedding location?

Happy to go interstate or international!

Belvoir Venue Homestead

Hi Bride

Selecting a wedding venue can be difiicult. Everyone has a great offer and everyone will tell you they are the best. I think the most important thing is to go to the venue and have a good look for yourself. Meet the people who will be co-ordinating the event for you. Some venues are happy to let you trial a meal that you would offer your guests. A good operator will be able to look at your whole day and can sometimes offer some great advice and money saving tips. Like us at Belvoir, we have been doing this for 20 years, so we do have a fair idea of what works and what doesn't. Look at the time of year and day you want to get married and go to the venue to see what it looks like at that time of day. Will it comfortably host all of the guests you want or will they be packed in like sardines. The real fun of your reception is when you get up from the table and want to dance. After all its about having fun and sometimes some pretty cheeky games. You want lots of space and somewhere just outside that will accommodate those that need a breath of fresh air without the risk of flling off a balcony.

The ability to cater for a mixture of cultural needs is also important. Has the venue succesfully hosted weddings of varying cultures and have they been able to cater for any unique dietry requirements?

At Belvoir we have succesfully hosted weding for people from different walks of life, with different budgets and unique needs. Our venue is an ideal location and the venue offers facilitites for different numbers of guests and spaces for ceremonies and receptions all in the one location. Check out our website, but better still why not give us a call and if possible come and meet with us.

Any ideas of places to elope?

Belvoir Venue Homestead

Well of course it depends on how much you want to spend and the time of year you're getting married.

If you want to stay in WA then there are many romantic B&B's down south that make for the perfect hide-away. This time of year the spring flowers are out and with the many wineries, chocolatiers and cheese factories there is wlways plenty to do

If travel is on your mind then Santorini would have to be at the top of the list. Set in tranquil turquiouse waters of a caldera, the volume of hotels and hidden beaches would have to be a place worthy of consideration. The weather is perfect and it makes for great honeymoon photos.

Are lunch times weddings a good option and any thoughts on it or will guests think it's weird?

Belvoir Venue Homestead

Lunchtime weddings are becoming more and more popular and there is no stigma attached to having one at this time. For many getting child care is easier during the day than at night making it easier for couples to attend. Some venues offer different rates for a lunch time over an evening reception. The best thing to do is to ring around and see who is offering the best deal. That doesn't mean the cheapest but the best value and quality.
