Yes, you are welcome to use your own contractors for your event. If you need help, we can provide a list of preferred contractors that have previously worked on our grounds and in whom we trust.

Yes, you are welcome to extend your stay after the Park's opening hours on our beautiful Forest View deck as long as our security guards' service is paid for. Please contact us for the fees' details.

No, the park is smoke free area.

No, pets are not allowed in the park.

Any extra structures in the park need to be approved by the Park's Management team prior to your event. Structures need to be weighted and not pegged into the ground. Please contact us for furthe details.

The park is not a licenced area however as per the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor's rules and regulations, under the nature of the event and as long as it is free or charge, you are able to provide alcohol to your guests at your wedding.

The most perfect idyllic and photogenic setting we could have possibly hoped for, extremely well priced and everything with organisation through Araluen was very smooth and straightforward despite our wedding being in spring(their very busy season with the tulip festival being on just prior to our wedding date). Would not hesitate to recommend them strongly for other people considering holding their wedding on their stunning grounds.

This place is beautiful. It was a lovely place to have our wedding and our photos were absolutely amazing. I would say it is quite expensive to just have the venue and not anything else included. Also no lights after dark, was kind of hard to find our way back to the parking lot but none the less, worth it.

We had our wedding ceremony at Araluen in the Amphitheatre area. It was beautiful. We were surrounded by greenery and had a nice lake in the background. It was a beautiful spot to have our friends and family watch as we said our vows. The staff and wedding organiser Heather was amazing to communicate with and with her help everything turned out wonderfully. We got some stunning photos from the park and loved every minute being there.

Booked Rose Garden Gazebo well in advance, which wound up being the perfect size for a rainy day. Were able to walk around the park and get beautiful photos without the crowds later in the day. Signing table is very small and basic so recommend bringing a cloth to cover. Had hour either side of ceremony time slot so was plenty for us to do the ceremony and small reception without paying more. Always had this place in mind for a venue so it was a good excuse for us to visit to check out on a couple of occasions beforehand and take pictures. Bit of confusion for guests as other wedding was nearby, otherwise had good disabled access from parking.

Eloping

Hi, we are looking to elope. Most packages we’ve seen for venues come with a celebrant and photographer. We’d like my partners brother to perform the ceremony but as he isn’t a registered celebrant we had looked at doing the legal bits during the week at the registry office. We also don’t require a photographer as we already have one from previous events we’d like to use again. Most elopement packages come with both of these things as a must have inclusion. Any suggestions??

Thankyou for considering Araluen Botanic Park for your wedding day! 

We are a garden wedding location and currently offer six garden wedding locations throughout the Park. Packages include access to the whole Park for photography at no extra charge. As an affordable garden wedding venue, we pride ourselves on offering flexible locations. We don’t offer strict packages that limit the bride and groom, but we offer creative freedom and total control over your ceremony/reception décor, and the option to use vendors of your choice. 

Our packages include hiring of the space for 2 hours for your ceremony and we give you 2 hours before the ceremony to set up whether it be yourself or contractors, you are also entitled to come to the park for a Wedding Rehersal free of charge.
