Melbourne garden wedding venues may be associated with the city’s hustle and bustle, but although convenient to Melbourne, Iris Park on the Mornington Peninsula is perfectly suited for garden wedding ceremonies by offering a selection of peaceful locations within defined sites on the property. Couples can be married in a bushland setting or formal gardens, all of which lend themselves to a variety of seating configurations.
The venue is accessed by a 300-metre long tree-lined driveway that meanders through tranquil parklands and provides a unique and stunning location for photographs.
A bower of vibrant pink roses intermingled with delicate yellow roses frames the entrance to the Ancient Stump Garden, where seating can be arranged for guests to easily see the arrival of the bridal party. Alternatively, the bridal party can arrive via an arch flanked by Crab apples, an ornamental Weeping Silver Pear tree, May bushes, Agapanthus and pots of vibrant Bougainvillea. The bridal party can also make a stunning entrance by arriving via our substantial, elegant, wrought-iron Arlette pathway arch (nearly 5m long and 3.5m in height), which is enhanced by climbing Star Jasmine, Mandevilla vines and delicate ferns.
The shade of the canopy of the majestic century-old stringy bark tree provides an attractive ceremony location complete with Iris Park’s seating, signing tables, wedding arches and marquees.
Iris Park is open for wedding ceremonies from 1 October until 30 April. Inspections by appointment are available through the whole year.
