FAQ

Do you have a suppliers list?

Yes, we have celebrants, photographers, florists, bands etc… everything to help organise your wedding.

You don’t have to use them however they are a good guide.

Do you count children in your total numbers?

Yes, we do

Are children and teenagers a different price? What is the maximum you can seat?

Yes, children are $40 and teenagers are $100.

Total seating is 120.

What time can we have the ceremony?

We are very flexible with our timeline however most of our guests prefer and hence we recommend 4 pm.

Is there an extra cost to extend the timeline?

For an hour after 11 pm is an extra cost of $1,000 not including drinks. Drinks can be put on a TAB

Balgownie Estate Yarra Glen is a really beautiful venue. We held our wedding reception here in March, and were blown away by the plethora of photo opportunities. There are really spectacular views of the Yarra Valley, and there are points on the estate where you can get a great panorama. The venue is really busy, and communication was at times difficult, but everything worked out perfectly with a bit of patience. We and our guests were very well taken care of, and the venue was willing to accomodate a micro-wedding reception. It was extremely hard to find somewhere luxurious in the Yarra Valley to accomodate a small group during peak season, and so we are so grateful we were able to have the intimate and luxe experience that we did.

We were so happy with our choice of venue! Balgownie is such a beautiful winery, amazing food and having the accommodation onsite was a huge plus! Just before the cake-cutting ceremony, announce the birth and after cake cutting serve both wedding & birthday cake.

How to make your ceremony and reception work in one location?

Im planning to have both my ceremony and my reception in the same room. How would I change the decor etc if everyones still in there lol thanks xx

Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa

The changeover can be tricky as a lot of factors are in place.

We'd recommend picking a venue with two event spaces so both of your events are in the same location but not at the same spot.

Balgownie Estate has a Marquee and a Deck both showcasing our vineyards which guests usually prefer for their ceremony and later have the reception in one of our reception rooms with glass windows overlooking vineyards.
