Eight Willows Retreat is located on 75 acres, situated in the heart of the Margaret River wine region providing a picturesque wedding venue for newly engaged couples!


Our venue offers couples unique convenience by providing an all in one wedding day experience with your accommodation, multiple ceremony locations, an array of backdrops for your photography and reception all onsite.  Our retreat has a range of luxury chalets that offer couples the opportunity to have their guests stay onsite.


Eight Willows Retreat offers:

  • A stylish lakeside function centre using modern architecture and design, providing the perfect setting for your wedding reception.
  • A tranquil ambience for your romantic night with an array of indoor and outdoor furniture, a statement stone fireplace, exquisite jarrah flooring, indoor and outdoor bar and a large commercial kitchen.
  • All tables, chairs, linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware included ( small wedding packages do not include these items however they can be hired )
  • Spectacular panoramic views overlooking the lake, bush land & vines
  • Versatile all-weather venue.
  • Choice of ceremony locations (lakeside, parkland garden or bush land areas)

  • Eight Willows Retreat can sleep a maximum of 136 guests onsite without the worry of driving home or arranging buses.
  • For those couples wanting a more intimate venue, we can offer  ‘The Residence’ which is a fantastic 4 bedroom house perfect for an intimate wedding of 25 people or less, or if you simply require wedding accommodation for you and your bridal party or perhaps a romantic honeymoon, we can cater to your needs.

The large open plan house boasts high ceilings, a dining room (seats 10) and large kitchen, making it ideal for a private dining experience. The sweeping verandah and lawn allows for pre- dinner drinks surrounded by nature, or an outdoor cocktail style affair.

Being in the southwest, the weather can be unpredictable. We have a perfect Plan B, which is our Lakeside Function Centre. We can move your ceremony either inside or outside under our veranda.

The pre-reception is held along our veranda /outdoor area at the function centre with beverages served from our outside bar. Usual start time is 5:00pm however this is flexible and is usually determined by your ceremony start and end time. If you choose to have your entire wedding reception outside, then we will continue to serve from our outdoor bar for the duration of the evening.

EWR sets up 48 White gladiator chairs & a small white signing table with matching chairs. If you choose to use our arbour, we will set that up as well. 

We do not have an inhouse catering team therefore you are welcome to engage a caterer of your choosing. We have a list of caterers we can recommend.

Yes, the function centre opens at 8am. If we do not have a wedding or event the day prior, you can request access to the function centre on that day. The function centre closes at 5pm on non-event days.

Beverage service concludes at 11:30pm sharp & the function centre shuts at 11:59pm.

Last song must conclude by 11:45pm.

We setup our tables, tablecloths, napkins, glassware, crockery, cutlery, gift table, cake barrel & speech barrel. As well as any items hired from EWR such as festoon lights.

EWR can setup items such as your wishing well, neon sign, favours, seating chart, menus and name cards.

We do not setup florals/greenery or any items that need to be put together/assembled.

We offer three beverage packages: BYO, Premium or Ultimate. 

If you elect one of our beverage packages, we order all of your chosen beverages for you. Please note you will not be given any left over beverages post wedding.

If you choose our BYO option, you are to source your own beverages. Please note this does not mean your guests are allowed to bring their own beverages. You will need to arrange delivery of your beverages for the day prior to your wedding ( beverages can be delivered the day of if they are already chilled). Your beverages will need to be stacked in our cool room. From here EWR staff will stock both the inside and outside bars and will serve you and your guests for the entirety of your beverage service hours.

Both the BYO Package and EWR Packages are for a 6.5 hour duration. Additional hours can be added for a cost, please discuss with the function team.

As the function center area is in our licensed area, our functions team will serve all your beverages. For cocktail style weddings, this includes an indoor, outdoor bar and for sit down packages, table service.

Accomodation is optional, however, we believe it's a big perk to hosting your wedding with us and allows you and your guests to enjoy the day and evening without worrying about coaches, travel etc.

Eight Willows Retreat was the perfect venue for our wedding. The setting was absolutely stunning and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was flawless. Especially Carly, she was such a dream to work with, her attention to detail and professionalism made everything run so smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the planning stages to the big day, she was so amazing to work with and made sure everything was taken care of so we could relax and enjoy every moment. Our guests have been raving how beautiful the venue was, and the serving staff were next to none. Carly and the team at Eight Willow's Retreat made our vision of a intimate, fun and relaxed wedding come true! From the very beginning at the site visit we knew it was the perfect venue for us with everything all in the one spot with stunning grounds! Our wedding was a weekend away filled with so much love. The team at Eight Willow's handled everything from set up to making sure our glasses were never empty! The service was excellent. Carly was a huge help in the planning process and very good at communication! On the day she coordinated everything to make sure everything ran smoothly. It really was the most perfect day! We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding ceremony and reception on a beautiful Saturday in mid-May this year at Eight Willows Retreat! Carly, Yvette and the whole team made the planning seamless and ensured that the whole night ran smoothly - which we are extremely grateful for! The whole team at eight willows was fantastic! Eight Willows Retreat can comfortably seat 150 guests for a sit down wedding or up to 270 for cocktail style. 

We have preferred caterers but clients are also allowed to present their own caterer (conditions apply)

We are situated next to a large lake with sprawling grass and gardens.

Eight Willows Retreat is a picturesque property surrounded by the iconic South West Jarrah Forest, located in the heart of the Margaret River region on Metricup Road, just North of Margaret River and South of Busselton and Dunsborough.

Set within 75 acres of natural bush and parkland garden, our state-of-the-art function centre was built in 2014 with modern architecture and design.
