Barefoot at Broken Head

Barefoot at Broken is a magical venue—it almost feels like a villa in Bali. It's a very intimate and cosy wedding venue, perfect for a small intimate crowd. The landscaping and interior design is immaculate. It was the perfect fit for our bohemian beach wedding. Barefoot allowed us to have the ceremony at the beach and reception at the house. The furniture that comes with the wedding package was timeless and beautiful and a perfect fit for our style. Francis the property manager is amazing, she's fantastic to work with, super helpful, responsive and very lovely. She made us feel welcome and helped us wherever she could. I'd recommend Barefoot to anyone who is looking for an intimate, cosy wedding venue in Byron Bay away from the crowds and traditional wedding venues.

My husband and I held out wedding in September 2016 at Barefoot Broken Head. It was the most perfect spot for a intimate wedding. We'd dreamed of a Balinese wedding (without the humidity) since we had gotten engaged and fell in love with this place from the second we walked in. We had our close friends stay with us in the villas at Barefoot and family and friends in the houses close by, which couldn't have been more convenient! The wedding took place on the beach in the morning, with the reception to follow in the Barefoot villa straight afterwards. We spent the entire day celebrating with family and friends and enjoyed every second of it. We booked Barefoot for a week, and had different events happening on the beach and surrounding areas throughout that time, with the wedding towards the end of the celebrations. Barefoot was exceptionally clean, and very accommodating for the little ones we had staying with us as well. Plenty space & didn't feel like we were staying on top of each other. Tim & the team at Barefoot are absolutely awesome and I couldn't recommend this place highly enough for a function, or even just a get away with family and or friends. Byron Bay Weddings were also absolutely outstanding with the coordination of our wedding, still to this day 10 months later, our guests continue to talk about the food and venue and how perfect it was. If you've always dreamed of the perfect Balinese style wedding without the travel or humidity, I highly recommend you give the Barefoot team a call & book a time to see it. We had a total of four houses within the Barefoot precinct for a week. All our families stayed in the houses so we were all nice and close, which worked perfectly.

We had a small elopement at Barefoot at Broken Head and it was completely perfect. Frances and the management team were brilliant in helping us organise the day and the execution on the day was just fantastic. Our ceremony was beatiful and the rest of the day was just so much fun. The food and the vibe were so good! We also stayed at the house for a few days around the wedding and we loved the space and location. We couldn't recommend it more for a stay or to get married!

Excellent! Francis and Tim were amazing. The place was better then we imagined. Francis went above and beyond to make our wedding and 4 night stay perfect. We will definitely be returning!
