OVERVIEW

Celebrate your wedding at one of the most breathtaking venues in the Hunter Valley, NSW, the family owned and operated olive grove, Lonely Goat Olives.

Be sure to view the video footage taken by a drone flying over the property.

Our approach is to keep the cost of your wedding to the minimum by allowing you to bring just about everything yourself: Catering, Flowers, Alcohol, Settings, Furniture and Marquees.

The property is both an award-winning olive grove and has a two bedroom cottage which was named one of the ‘best 52 weekend’s getaway’ by Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald national newspaper.

Lonely Goat Olives is totally off the electricity grid and other services, perfect for an eco-friendly wedding.

On the 100 acres, there are plenty of stunning backdrops to make your wedding photos unique:
•Two large olive groves;
•Expansive mountain views;
•Amazing night time sky’s;
•Private rain forest with walking trails;
•Several dams – one with jetty;
•Mature gardens, lawns. AND
•Some Scottish Highland Cattle who will smile for the camera!

This very private location offers the perfect setting for a romantic and rustic wedding, which can be tailored to suit your taste.

After the guests leave, the newly-weds can retire to the honeymoon suite, sit on the veranda taking in the view and enjoying a glass of champagne.

Our wedding packages include 3 nights’ accommodation for up to 5 people and full use of the property for 3 days and nights.

Tailored mid-week weddings can also be accommodated.

what is your response to people saying weddings are overpriced?

Lonely Goat Olives

I generally agree. In some cases there are premiums attached to weddings that appear to be artificially inflated.

At Lonely Goat Olives only the venue and the accommodation are included in our offering. This allows couples to source everything else at much cheaper prices.

why do some venues not allow pets?

Lonely Goat Olives

There are many reasons for this, but venues close to roads, or farms with livestock or where there is no suitable fencing are just a few.

At our farm Lonely Goat Olives, there is a pet minder 2 km down the road. For a modest fee, she will take care of your pets.

Is a rehearsal dinner necessary?

I have a very small wedding about 26 guests. Only one is local the rest are from out of town. About half of them are relatives or involved in the ceremony. Is it necessary to host a rehearsal dinner? My family's paying for the entire wedding I'm covering most of the honeymoon and the groom's parents have both passed. I feel as though paying for dinner the night before the wedding will cost close to the actual wedding meal. I'm considering covering some appetizers at the hotel lounge for all overnight guests but I'm wondering if that will seam cheap and/or a dinner is required?

Lonely Goat Olives

I would keep the dinner on the wedding day a one off. being able to compare the dinner on the wedding day to the rehearsal my spoil the main event. Most minor problems can easily be overcome withot fuss.
