The beautiful outside grassed area held host to our ceremony and was the perfect backdrop to all our photos. The setup is spacious without being overwhelming. Even though it was windy we were protected in the area and still able to enjoy the beautiful sunlight. - Sophie & Joshua

Mel and the team at parkwood are truly AMAZING! The effort put in to making our day everything we dreamt of was out of this world. The amount of feed back we had from guests and our wedding party about the pure hospitality of the parkwood team was amazing and I am so glad we choose team parkwood.

The club at parkwood truly exceeded all our expectations. The wedding coordinator Mel was an absolute dream from the first encounter, ensuring all bases were covered throughout the planning process and then perfected on the day. And evy who was there on the day made sure everything ran smoothly and always checking in if we needed anything. The venue is a beautiful location, for a fantastic price. Everyone has commented on how delicious the food was and how friendly the staff all are!

Mel, Jemima, and Beth at Parkwood Weddings really go above and beyond to make your wedding day absolutely spectacular. Communication was clear and efficient, plus all queries were answered. The girls really ensured that the wedding day ran smoothly. Paperwork and planning was so easy and it’s very clear what is included in the wedding packages (no hidden surprises!). The venue itself is amazing, with the function rooms and gardens kept in immaculate condition. The food on offer is delicious, with generous portion sizes so our guests did not go home hungry. The venue was also very accomodating for those with special dietary requirements. I highly recommend having your function or wedding at Parkwood!

Parkwood weddings Where do I even start, Mel you are absolutely amazing and I could not have done this without you that is for sure. You made my whole wedding planning process stress free and nothing was ever a issue or too hard, every time I started to stress about something I would call you and instantly my stress would disappear.. Planning a wedding is not easy by any means but in saying that you made it feel like a breeze, you helped create our dream wedding for our closest family and friends. The venue is the best venue we have been too in Queensland and ticks absolutely every single box and even creates its own. The staff are amazing and all so accommodating, and having everything in one spot is so great. You created our family friendly wedding and made it more than we could have imagined!

No Wedding Party Table at Reception

I am looking at venues for our reception and along with that table set ups. We prefer long tables. I have always loved the idea of not having a wedding party table and sitting amongst our guests. At this stage we are not having a formal wedding party just my nieces and nephews as flower girls and ring bearers. Does anyone have any examples of how couples have done this? Or advice for and against doing this?

Dear Bride & Groom, 

 We love it when our Bride & Grooms  sit amongst their guests on the banquet tables , however may I also suggest you consider a Sweet Heart Table?

You will find you dont spend alot of time seated as you will always be up mingling and speaking with your guests , however when you do get a minute during the night its lovely to have a space for you and your husband to take a breath together and enjoy that you have just married each other.

I would also suggest it works well when you are doing the speech component of the night   - Its nice for you to be by the Mc and for all your guests to be able to direct their speeches of well wishes and stories towards you both.

We want our dog in our wedding. Any tips?

Would love some advice! We def want to include our dog in our wedding! We want him as the ring bearer. Are they are any things to avoid or prepare for in advance? Do all venues allow pets? Thanks!
