Having the extra day made sure the wedding day didn’t fly by too quickly, and we had the best weekend of our lives. Our guests are still raving about all the food and amazing accommodation options. Highlights of working with Midginbil Eco Resort for your wedding:
“If I could give more than a 5-star review, I would. Our guests were absolutely blown away by everything. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, everything was planned and organised. I just cannot believe how stress-free and cruisy you guys are! Mel, you honestly went above, and beyond helping me out. Nothing was too much! There have been so many comments about the food— there was so much, and everything was perfect! I think people will need to go on a diet after all the delicious food. Russell, you did a fantastic job getting the barn, tents and cottage all sorted for our day. Any couple would honestly be crazy not to consider Midginbil as a place to get married. This wedding will be one people will talk about for years to come. Thank you for being a part of our day/weekend and thank you for being such beautiful people.” — Laela + Tommy

FAQ
You are required to arrange all bookings for accommodation and meals for all of your guests using our supplied spreadsheet, and collect payment from them as they book. Most couples open a bank account for this purpose.
Please only use the spreadsheet we provide! It’s important you don’t create your own spreadsheet or change ours (you can add extra columns for your own use). Ours works, it’s tried & tested!!
Please let guests know that they must book through you, not us directly as we cannot take their booking and you have the spreadsheet with details of bookings.
LETTING US KNOW ABOUT YOUR BOOKING DETAILS
About 6 weeks out from your big day we will send you an email asking for all of the details we need to know to make sure everything is arranged and ready to go, such as our completed spreadsheet, a schedule of events, your Event Insurance etc etc. We do try to make it as easy as we can for you, but we do need know everything - we don't want any surprises. In our information package we provide a checklist with timeline to ensure nothing is missed and we receive all your information.
No we don't. You can party all night. We do have an amplified noise curfew of 11pm Friday & Saturday nights & 10pm Sunday to Thursday nights. After this time, you can use our UE Boom bluetooth speaker & party the night away, until you decide it's time to go to bed.
Usually once the amplified music stops, this is when you take the speaker over to the bonfire & enjoy a good outdoor campfire, chats, dancing & a drink.
We have a variety of accommodation, which includes glamping tents, Rose Manor Cottage, Lodge & Bunkhouse rooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, sleeping 2 - 6 persons. We also have 10 bell tents with solar light & USB port to charge your phone & a primitive campground. These guests use the camp amenities with toilets & showers. In total we can accommodate 170 guests.
There is additional accommodation in the local area if you require.
Yes, you & your guests have exclusive use of the resort. You pay a venue hire fee for your 3 day wedding & you have exclusive use for you & your guests attending your wedding.
This includes the original 1906 homestead, rustic reception barn, fire pit, volley ball, bush walks, solar heated pool, tennis court & the accommodation.
Midginbil is set on 400 acres, so there is plenty of space for you & your guests to enjoy.
Time seems to stand still at Midginbil! So you truly get to enjoy the 3 day celebration experience.

What's a rough itinerary for a wedding long weekend?
Hi! We're planning a two day wedding weekend and would love ideas for how the weekend could go, including any pre or post celebrations.
Midginbil Eco Resort
Hey lovely,
This is how our weddings roll, for example a weekend wedding:
- Arrive Friday afternoon to set up the barn for the reception and guests start arriving from 2pm, settle into their accommodation, catchup and enjoy the resort facilties
- BBQ Dinner in the original 1906 homestead dining room & deck, a relaxed evening for all guests to connect & catch up
- Saturday morning a yummy breakfast to sustain everyone for the day, guests enjoy the resort facilities & back for lunch, then get ready for the wedding! You and your fiance are getting ready with your tribe. Ladies in the bridal room and gents in one of the rooms, usually a glamping tent or Rose Manor Cottage. Everyone car pools up to the magical fig tree for the ceremony and then back to the barn for the celebrations.
- Sunday morning another yummy breakfast, packup and depart or you can extend & add the Sunday night to truly relax and enjoy, before departing on Monday.
- We provide all the meals for you and your guests, excluding the wedding reception, you employ a caterer of your choice or from our preferred suppliers list.
I hope this helps with a weekend itinerary for a wedding at Midginbil Eco Resort

Hi Madeleine,
Every wedding at Midginbil is uniquely different and yours will be the same for you!
In regards to the seating plan, I would probably not have a bridal table and if you are having a sit down meal, you can all be seated at a table amongst the guests. Some of our couples chose not to have a bridal table and want to join their guests.
And in regards to your pics, your photographer will be able to discuss this with you for best results. I'm sure there's many ways to make this work.
Happy Wedding,
Love Mel & The Midginbil Eco Resort Team xx
