Set on 68 acres of rolling hills, golf fairways, beautiful gardens and a private lake, Lawson Lodge is surrounded by national park and stunning bushland, with amazing panoramic views of Mount Macedon. So many beautiful locations for your wedding.
The stunning 9 bedroom Canadian mountain lodge sleeps up to 20 guests, and features a sunlit bridal suite overlooking the garden. The fully appointed country house is both luxurious and homely and will be your home away from home for you, and your favourite people for the entire wedding weekend.
The two beautifully appointed executive rooms boast an amazing view over the lake and sleep an additional 4 guests. During the warmer months (September through to May) we also have 10 glamping tents available for bookings. These Moroccan style tents feature queen sized beds and luxurious hotel linen and offer a unique experience for your guests.
The accommodation is complemented by a range of facilities that is unrivalled for a property this size, all included in the accommodation rate. We have our own private 9-hole golf course, movie cinema, 8 seater spa, sports bar, fishing lake, tennis court, basketball, petanqu�, carpet bowls and billiards – all unlimited use for you and your guests. We also offer a range of services including pre-wedding beauty treatments. The lake hut is the perfect place to sneak away for a relaxing massage or facial before the big day.
Our stunning all-weather alfresco function area with views across the lake and rolling hills can accommodate most functions, from 20 to 200 people. The room can be open to enjoy the great outdoors, or in bad weather can be closed at the click of a button so your guests are comfortable but you still have the stunning views!

We are a DIY wedding venue, which means you book the property, and you have the flexibility to design the wedding that best suits your needs. You are essentially hiring a space, our beautiful blank canvas with amazing views to decorate into your perfect wedding venue. You can supply your own drinks and choose your own catering supplier giving you complete control over all aspects of your day.
Booking Lawson Lodge Country Estate for your wedding or special occasion gives you exclusive use of the entire property and all the facilities for the duration of your stay. Why book a hotel room, when you can have an entire 68 acre country estate all to yourselves.

Hi, my name is Christina, and I am the events coordinator at Lawson Lodge Country Estate. I have loved this venue ever since I had my own wedding here 8 years ago. Lawson Lodge is the perfect place to hold a winter wedding. With our stunning all weather alfresco area, cosy wood fires and an indoor ceremony site, we can cater for weddings all year round.
Book a wedding from 1 June - 31 August 2020 and receive an amazing discount on our wedding packages.

We can comfortably fit up to 120 seated, and up to 200 for a cocktail function.
Yes, in case of wet weather ceremonies can take place in our conference room or in the undercover alfresco. Our alfresco area has clear blinds which can be used in all weather.
The lodge and executive rooms sleep up to 24 guests. We also have 10 glamping tents catering for another 20 guests, plus several rollaway beds suitable for children. The maximum permitted overnight is 50 guests.
If you wish to involve a pet such as a dog in your ceremony, we can allow them on site and on a lead for the duration of the ceremony, however you will need to make arrangements for them to be taken off site straight after this.
There are many lovely photo opportunities around the property. Photographers love working at Lawson Lodge. The fishing hut and lake, the woodland pine trees, the rose garden and the front track are popular locations. Photographers generally don’t need to leave the property to capture stunning shots.
Yes, both are permitted. Music must be strictly finished by 11pm.
Yes, these are permitted. During wetter months they may not be permitted on the lawn in front of the function space as the wheels may damage the lawn. Positioning will be arranged with staff.
